I am a general contractor and have worked with many interior designers over the last 25 years, and Terry is at the top of my list when I need design services. The most important attribute a designer must have is the ability to listen to the client, and that is exactly what Terry does. She is extremely thorough, can think outside the box, has many creative ideas, and has always been able to come up with a space planning and design plan that perfectly fits our clients. Not only does Terry take care of the overall design, she also selects materials, textures, colors, and patterns, and weaves all of this into the design to complete the overall look and feel for the job. This may seem like it can be a lot of tedious work, but she makes it a fun and exciting experience for our clients. Terry Barker has done a beautiful job remodeling our master bathroom. She was knowledgeable, experienced, kind, and honest. We enjoyed working with Terry so much we had her design and decorate our front sitting room as well.

Terry has done a great job helping us do interior design work on our house as well as external mock ups. We are still working on the changes but she was flexible and very available to help.

Terry created a complete redesign of the entire first floor of our house and it was EXACTLY what I wanted, but just couldn't think of myself. She took the time to sit down and talk with me and my husband and listen to both of our wish lists. While the design was perfect for our taste it also fit our busy family of 4 and a dog lifestyle. However, the best part about hiring Terry to do the design work was that when construction started all we had to do was the work. No design choices had to be made. I knew exactly what everything was going to look like when it was finished, every detail had been specified right down to the proverbial kitchen sink! I will never do another house project without Terry and I recommend her to all my friends and family. It was money well spent up front so that money wasn't wasted once construction began

Terry did a great job with our design and she was incredibly flexible. She has a good eye for detail and we really enjoyed working with her. She did a master bathroom design for us.

We worked with Terry as our interior designer for our extensive house remodel. Our project involved remodeling an entire kitchen, two bathrooms, new floor treatments (hardwoods and carpet), and interior repainting. We really appreciated Terry’s help right from the outset as she patiently worked with us to get a good understanding of what we were looking for. As she listened to our ideas it truly was fun seeing the plans materialize on her computer as we visualized different remodel scenarios. Terry helped us with everything from choosing the right interior paint colors, tiling for kitchen and bathrooms, granite for the counter tops and all the light fixtures and other fittings. She always lets you know what is going on and when things will be completed. She works with you every step of the way. I have been happy with everything she has done for me.

I hired Terry to help me with a home remodel. I needed to replace my original contractor carpet. Terry helped me choose the best wood floor expansion after the wood floor contractors tried to sell me on changing plank width and wood direction. She helped me select the new carpet shade and a new accent wall color. She also helped me with furniture placement and decorating. She helped me with paint selection and suggested painting architectural accents in my basement to add a great pop of color and whimsy to our TV area. I just had a large group meeting in my home and received many compliments. Terry did a great job!

Terry has been a wise and inspired source of design advice on several occasions. Most recently, we remodeled almost the entire house while adding about 800 sq. ft. that included a living room, bedroom, utility room, and bath. And that while doing PhD coursework and traveling to Fort Worth every week. Terry was a tremendous source of support; she listened to my thoughts and hopes, knew what products and styles could fulfill them, and helped ease all the decision-making (which, by the way, can be a very painful process for me!). We've been thrilled with the results and would recommend Terry to anyone who needs a calm and reliable partner in any design project!

Terry Barker is a fantastic interior designer and a delight to with which to work. She has helped us with our last two houses. The first house consisted of cosmetic changes with paint, curtains, and new living room furniture along with accessories. Our second house was a much bigger project that involved knocking out walls, raising a sunken floor, and new flooring. Of course furniture, paint, carpet and backsplash tile work was part of the project. Terry saved us far more money than we spent on her talented service. She nailed the right paint colors and furniture scale where we would have made costly mistakes on our own. She recommended honest workers who were reasonably priced and skillful in their labor. I love how she would counsel us in where we needed to spend for quality and where we could save a few dollars. Finally, she was able to incorporate our existing accessories into the our new home in innovative ways. We loved both homes that Terry helped us with, and so did everyone who came over. She has an eye for color, layout, and the ability to work with the client's style preference within the budget given. She made our house a home, and a beautiful one at that!
