Tamara is a thorough professional and i could not be more pleased with her services. Not only does she have a great eye , she is also very detail oriented and a problem solver. Tamara made our renovation a breeze. She came to our design meeting with plenty of ideas and gave us numerous vendors and contractors to choose from. Her advice was always spot on. She convinced us to add additional lighting to the bathroom which made a huge difference. She designed a vanity that is functional and visually appealing. She was always on top of the details and made sure that things ran smoothly and quickly so that we could stay in our place during the renovation. We really enjoyed working with her and would work with her again in a second!

I have had the pleasure of working with Tamara on several projects within our home. Whenever I get the itch to update, she's my go to. Tamara understands my style and has stream lined the process to make it efficient and fun. She is creative (able to combine several styles to create a dynamic look within our living space) and always goes the extra mile to ensure that my expectations are being met.

Tamara was extremely attentive to our project and very hands on. She is willing to do small projects unlike most designers. Our small project grew into more and more and she executed everything with detail. She is very transparent with how she charges and an excellent value.

I was in the beginning stage of a complete gut renovation, not sure how to start the project and wanted to chop up my project into phases that I could wrap my head around. Tamara was very accommodating. We clearly stated what would be the scope of work and cost for phase 1. Having Tamara on day 1 was great in so many ways. Instead of feeling paralyzed by this huge project that lay ahead, Tamara helped guide me through the process. She was methodical in her approach. We started off with a questionnaire and conversations so that she could understand how I live, what I need in terms of functionality, what I want in terms of style and my budget. She presented several schematics to me and my husband and after a few meetings, we had our floorplan. She was always available to answer questions and explain the renovation process to me, offer style guidance and suggest vendors that were in-line with my style and budget. Though I only hired Tamara for phase 1 of my project (I start demolition in 1 week) I do occasionally ask her for a sanity check on design questions and she continues to give me thoughtful insight and guidance. She got my project off to a great start. I know I will need her designer's eye when I start to move back into my renovated home (especially for window treatments and furniture placement) and look forward to working with her again.

Our new bathroom is fantastic! Tamara aggregated many inputs from us--tear sheets from magazines, our focus on functionality, cues from the rest of our apartment design--and synthesized them into a master bathroom that completely works for us. Tamara's design is original--terrific mix of textures, including unusual rustic wood accents in an overall clean and streamlined look.. The way she extended counters along the length of the room added not just functional space but a dose of grace as well. We particularly love the roomy drawers that hide every bit of clutter, the radiant-heat floors, and the textured grey tile. It's easy to forget about project management once a project is complete. Renovating any part of a NYC apartment is a challenge, but Tamara made it as painless as possible. She is a whiz with budgets and lists, and great at coordinating with the construction crew. Already working on our next project with Tamara!

Tamara came highly recommended to us from a family friend, and we loved working with her on our house. She really took the time to listen to us and immediately understood our style, and we couldn't be happier with her designs and how our rooms came together under her guidance. She was incredibly attentive to detail (from purchase to installation) and worked patiently and tirelessly to find just the right pieces we loved, while also remaining conscious of our budget. Tamara designed a beautiful remodel of our kitchen that stayed within our budget. Tamara is easy to work with. WIth the limitless options of materials, she kept us focused. We sometimes took our time making decisions, which she accommodated. She was sensitive to the kitchen reflecting the rest of the open plan space that it is in. As a result, it feels like an organic part of the whole of our home and reflects our aesthetic. The main feedback we have received on the kitchen is 1. it's beautiful! and 2. It looks bigger! It does look bigger even though we did not change the footprint of the kitchen because Tamara designed the kitchen island countertop larger, by extending it into the dining area where there was plenty of room. Adding a countertop waterfall made the whole kitchen look more finished and purposeful. We're very happy with our kitchen and the experience of working with Tamara on it. We highly recommend her.

I hired Tamara H to help me with a home renovation project that included installing lighting, building a custom radiator cover, and buying new furniture and art. I wanted to drive much of the project myself, for creative and budgetary reasons. Tamara was enormously flexible in working with me to provide just what I needed - designs, recommendations and advice in vetting the contractor and making sure he understood the plans. She worked with me according to my particular needs and was extremely professional in defining the scope of the project, estimating the costs upfront, and delivering what we agreed on. I will definitely use her in the future.
