Owner Julie Engels is an experienced international architect who thrives working in fast pace creative environments and collaborating in challenging design projects. Engels' passion of design and architecture is clear in the various international projects she has been commissioned for. Engels works closely with clients to understand their vision and translates it into a creative design and successfully aclaimed project. Engels studied at the Hoger Instituut voor Architectuurwetenschappen Henry van de Velde in Antwerp – Belgium . Engels has a Master in Architecture and was the recipient of the Project² Award (Gold Medal) in her graduating year. Engels is licensed in Belgium under the 'Ordre des Architectes' and speaks French (Mother Tongue), English, Spanish and Dutch. Engels worked previously as a senior designer at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in their Brussels, London and Chicago offices. While at SOM Engels specialized in large scale commercial and residential high rise projects along side government service buildings, Transportation and Urban Planning worldwide. Engels has also worked on various housing and retail store renovations in Europe.
