We worked with Stephen Evans to create a beautiful dining room table that far exceeded our expectations. We started our consultation with just the general idea that we wanted a table that would comfortably fit the largest number of people in our dining room. So Stephen began by determining the necessary dimensions and then making a table that looked proportionally appropriate, yet still elegant - a bit of a challenge when working with an oversized piece of furniture. From there, he worked with us to come up with a detailed design. He came to our house, looked at our other furniture, and talked with us at length about the direction we wanted to go. He put all of that together to build a beautiful solid walnut table with a number of added details, including a subtle contrast from a lighter wood inlay. It is a gorgeous, timeless, well-made piece of furniture.

I have worked with Stephen Evans on various commercial projects and he has been a pleasure to work with. He is extremely talented and highly collaborative. His attention to detail and vast knowledge has helped produce beautiful and thougtful projects.

Stephen Evans Furniture has done a number of projects around my house - the largest being a complete custom kitchen remodel, new trim throughout the house. In 2006, I commissioned Stephen Evans Furniture to design and build a industrial work/dining table for my loft space that matched my esthetic. My expectations were surpassed on all levels. The overall functionality and design details make the table personal, sturdy and versatile. There is not one person who enters my space that does not comment on the superb design. After six years of heavy use, it continues to shine and wear well.
