Dare&Do

Dare & Do is a British-made children's brand drawn by illustrator Rupert Davies. Think Boy's Own tales, stories of adventure and derring-do. Rupert spent his boyhood building bike trails, canoeing down rivers and making mud dams. Today, inspired by the works of early C20th American illustrator N C Wyeth and with children of his own, Rupert lives life more sedately, sketching childhood images and turning these into the prints that inspire our product range and which we hope you and your family will love. What is unusual about our designs is that each tells a story; the narrative runs right across our fabric and wraps around our lamps and mugs. Each and every item we make is carefully thought out and the main image - be that the cowboy, elephant or canoe - is tweaked and redesigned to perfectly fit the product. Each main design has a complimentary pattern, perfect for chairs and blinds. When we set up our company, we were keen to support British industry by getting everything made up here. This means our costs our slightly higher - but we hope you'll agree that it's worth it. We hand print our own posters, our bone china mugs come from the home of British potteries Stoke-on-Trent, our wallpaper is printed in Cheshire using water-based inks and responsibly-sourced paper, our fabric comes from Lancashire, our parchment lamps come from the West Country and our cushions are made up in a bustling workroom in Berkshire.
