THE PRACTICE Sky Architect Studio was established in 2011. Initially operating out of Torquay – where the company worked extensively on Residential Architecture projects along the Great Ocean Road – one of the world's most scenic coastal routes. Specialising in modern Architecture style and Beach houses, we love the concept of bringing the outdoor to indoor and connecting spaces for a unified look - this has been our core design practice throughout the years. As the company grew, Sky Architect Studio’s relocation to Melbourne in 2016 expanded the practice to extensive opportunities for larger scale multi-residential Architecture such as Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Student Accommodation, Townhouses, Low-rise Apartments. After repositioning nearer to the city, Sky Architect Studio has been incorporating many of its design principles from contemporary Beach houses and integrating between coastal and urban design, creating many more unique Architecture forms in Melbourne. Our team is dedicated with design passion and holds strongly to design principles, quality, and sustainability consideration through all Architecture design phases. Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) DESIGN PRINCIPLES Sky Architect Studio operates on the principle that a project that is completed on budget, meeting specific client requirements without excluding the ability to achieve broader policy and social goals such as sustainability or universal access. Sky Architect Studio approaches all of our projects armed with the understanding that we have a dual responsibility of meeting the brief for our clients and delivering a project which understands and responds to its wider market conditions, social obligations, and the needs of the end users.

My house is beautiful. Sky has managed to turn my narrow plot of land, of 4.5metres wide, boundary to boundary with my neighbours and make it feel big and light filled. Stands out on the street.

Sky Architect Studio has always been unique and creative in his architectural design and form. Particularly, open space, long span and cantilever, slim look, high standard on architectural finishes and detailing. I have been working on Sky Architect Studio's projects for the past 10 years. There were always been structural challenges in almost every project, to make the structural framing work (i.e. in ultimate and serviceability conditions) in order to satisfy and achieve the architectural requirements plus the design intent. The owner of Sky Architect Studio is humble and friendly. I would strongly recommend Sky Architect Studio to my clients, if they were after the unique architectural design house and services.

I genuinely recommend Sky Architect Studio and his team. They took the time to listen to our ever changing ideas and needs and in the end presented us with a design that reflected architectural perfection along with practical functional specification. During the design process and even after council approval our views changed multiple times and they responded with so much patience and energy and helped us to get the best result.

Dear Sky, It is with my pleasure to write this recommendation to Sky Architect Studio for the construction projects at West Footscray, VIC 3012. Being a great architect, there is no one does a better job than Sky that not only coordinate but continuously ensure the construction projects of two townhouse units run smoothly and immaculate from conception planning to project completions. There are numerous occasion where Sky went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure day-to-day operations always on time delivered. This is due to his expertise and in-depth knowledge that oversee construction always on time because he exactly knew what to do and came to appreciate Sky's innate ability to provide solutions - from ascertaining the location to dealing with council down to cost of materials and time frame to project management. This resulted a stunning and spectacular modern townhouse units that is impeccable quality and showcased a high end fixtures/fittings.

I have recruited the services of Sky Architect Studio for a subdivision in Mount Eliza. From our first meeting (before giving him the job & with a day’s notice), Sky had spent hours preparing to ensure he understood the council requirements in preparation for our meeting. We were impressed from the very start. He’s worked at a speed and efficiency that has continued to impress and his design has been to brief, our budget and is simply stunning, whilst being designed so perfectly for the location and still fits beautifully within its neighbouring surrounds. It’s just everything we could have hoped for and so much more & we couldn’t recommend him more highly!

I was given the confidence and trust by Sky hence hired him to design my new house just by the marina. My journey with Sky started more than 3 years ago. Every step of the way, Sky had given me the clarity and best effort on all building and design aspect. I have to admit that I am not an easy client for I bomb Sky with numerous calls during weekends, public holidays and after hours. Yes Sky was ever willing to listen and help me with my queries. To be honest, I was hunting for an architect and had waisted some small fortune with two prior so called architect. I am glad I found Sky as his experiences, dedication and attention to detail is un-matched! Sky had helped me through from my house design to acquring planning permit, which was unbelievably difficult, and even administered my whole building project. There were massive amount of challenges due to unforeseen circumstances but Sky was able to assist in resolving them amicably in terms of timeline and cost.
