Starting out with solar panel installation in the 1990’s, Adam then transitioned to maintaining pools and equipment at a swim and racquet club in Portola Valley. There, he got his CPO certification and began servicing pools at club members’ homes. It didn’t take long for his business to grow from five pools to a network of clients throughout the South Bay.
Adam is a San Jose product, born at Good Sam. He went to Pioneer and Gunderson High School. Throughout his life, Adam has loved designing and creating beautiful backyard spaces. While most of his services involve pool maintenance and care, he has also branched out into decking, landscaping and pool design to give clients a unified look throughout their back yards.
Adam’s target market is clients who aren’t just looking for someone to help them change filters or recommend a better pool vacuum. Their goal is to create and maintain a beautiful outdoor space for their families and friends, and Adam can help them with all aspects of that.

We installed a new pool light for the client back in May 2014. The light carried a one year manufacturer's warranty. The light worked fine until more than three years later when the client claimed that the light was not working because it had been improperly installed with the cord "glued" in place. We do not use glue in the installation of a pool light - it is sealed with a rubber gasket. (The cord most likely got stuck as the result of a another company's messy deck sealing job that dripped down into the light housing way after we had finished with the light installation.) And obviously, had the light been improperly installed, it would not have worked perfectly for 3 1/2+ years.
So now the client expects us to replace the light - which is now 2 1/2 years out of warranty and stuck in place due to another contractors sloppy work - for free. If the warranty had not expired or if we had actually been responsible for the light cord being stuck, we stand by our work, and would have gladly taken of the issue. But not when someone tries to blame us for another's error in order to circumvent the official warranty period.
