SHP Fine Carpentry

Stefan and his team completely refreshed our kitchen and I couldn't be more pleased with them and the final results. They have an unmatched attention to detail and a real eye for design. He was fantastic at always communicating the plan for the work. We requested a few changes along the way and Stefan was great at accommodating them and letting me know if that would impact our timeline or costs (and thankfully he was able to make it all work on a tight turnaround). I would rehire Stefan for any future project that I have, without question.

Stefan and his crew are simply the best contractors we have ever dealt with. Stefan built a custom walk-in closet for us, in a room that is approximately 10x13. We are very picky and wanted top quality results. From the start, Stefan provided a level of quality unmatched in our experience with contractors. He paid great attention to detail throughout all phases of our project. He started by ensuring he really understood what we wanted and then designing a detailed plan specifying what the closet would look like. Once we finalized the design, he procured top quality materials (no cheap materials in his construction - all furniture-grade wood). He built out the sections for the closet in his shop, then came on-site and installed them over the course of several days. He constructed the base, added crown molding at the top of the cabinets and painted everything, all in place. When he was finished, we had beautiful custom cabinetry in our walk-in closet. Additionally, despite the construction that had occurred, our house looked untouched. Stefan and his crew were extremely neat and respectful of our home. By the way, Stefan will also make suggestions based on his experience that really add a lot to the final look of your project. We accepted his suggestions and the polish they added to the look and feel of the cabinetry was amazing. I highly recommend Stefan. He meets his commitments and he delivers quality. We would totally use him again and hope to do so in the future.

Stefan is a reliable, skillful carpenter. We had him to repair rotten window and fix the trim in the basement. We are satisfied.

I am an anesthesiologist, and I tend to expect everyone to bring the same level of obsession and precision to their work that I bring to the operating room. In general, I have been disappointed by the home improvement industry, but Stefan is a wonderful exception. From the very beginning, he has been responsive, honest, dependable, and professional. When I mentioned off-hand that I couldn't meet on a certain day because it was my daughter's birthday, he showed up at our next meeting with a birthday present. His work is incredible (see pictures). Details that I never even knew to consider were perfectly thought out and executed with surgical precision. He brought my little sketch of a home office to life more beautifully than I could ever have imagined. I look forward to working with Stefan again in the coming years on a few bathrooms and a kitchen. I would not hire anyone else for carpentry or custom cabinetry in my home.
