i have known shelle viray for many years. from time to time i get an email from her and it always reminds me how much fun we had working together. at the time i was under contract as a senior designer for special projects at a residential design firm in sacramento and shelly worked on some of the projects i designed. she was always willing to work on anything, had good ideas, great energy and was a team player. over the years i have kept an eye on her progress. i highly recommend viray design for any project she agrees to work on.

Shelle Viray designed the kitchen and master bathroom of my new home as well as helping with the color selections of the entire house, inside and out. She was easy to work with, using my ideas and suggestions to incorporate into her designs. Very creative and inovative. It has been 10 years since the home was built and her designs still look current and beautiful. Would love to do another home with her!

Working with Shelle Viray was a great experience. She listened to the needs we had as homeowners and the changes desired to create a better flow in our home with the least amount of change and therefore expense. She understood our aesthetic and worked from that standpoint. Shelle was fun to work with, collaborative in her approach; allowing input on design and finishes and stepping in whenever help was needed! Her knowledge of working with contractors was fantastic and understood the constraints of budget.

Shelle Viray designed our kitchen remodel and it was the an incredibly positive experience. We gave her our ideas as far as what our goal was and how we wanted the space to be used. She had several different ideas and we looked at all of them. She would make changes as needed until the final result was exactly to our liking. The kitchen remodel took three months and went off without a hitch. She worked well with the contractor and her plans were accurate and needed little, if any, changes as the job progressed. The outcome was fantastic. We have a gorgeous kitchen that looks like it was in our home all along. We love the workspace and the "people gathering" that takes place now. We have received so many compliments about the design, colors, and quality. And it all started with Shelle's design ability, listening skills and patience!!!!

We could not believe how knowledgeable Shelle Viray is! She helped us tremendously on our kitchen remodel. We didn't know where to start, and Shelle designed plans, giving us options we hadn't even thought of. The design we picked was one based on ideas we had briefly when we bought the house 10 years earlier. We had forgotten about those ideas, and Shelle came up with a plan that included some of our original thoughts, and so much more. We loved her plan, and are extremely happy with our new kitchen. Shelle not only helped with the plan, but she helped with the budget and was right on for costs of supplies, contractors, and appliances. She REALLY knows her market. She even helped when our old house needed some extra structural work. She knew of an architect that could help with the bump in our construction project so it wasn't a major ordeal. Her attitute is amazing and she is so incredibly positive and cooperative. We were affraid a designer would want to just design and sell us something we weren't wanting. Shelle was not that way at all. She listened to EVERYTHING we had to say, and was such a sounding board, and not afraid to give us her honest opinions. We think that because of Shelle our major project went so smoothly. We recommend her to everyone we can.

Learned tastes and style interests of husband and wife; assessed existing furniture style and artwork; coordinated comprehensive architectural design implementing existing structure, improved open space and traffic flow in accordance with how we use the home and how we entertain; drew up several renditions based on current elevation; skillfully blended roofline for addition of a full size garage, including attic space. Coordinated garden design, privacy gates, and access gates. Designed new concrete flatwork and RV pad, acid washed/stained concrete for existing guest house. Supervised all elements. Viray Design was thoughtful, skillful, and polite. I would retain Viray Design in a heartbeat; head and shoulders above the rest.

I have had the privilege of knowing Shelle for several years. We have worked together on projects in college, have worked for the same company, and have consulted for each other on several projects once establishing our individual firms. Shelle is a highly creative and dedicated designer. Her vast knowledge of the building process will help guide you through any remodel. She is budget conscious, and will specify the product that is best for your project, not the one that is the most expensive. I recommend her for all phases of the design process.
