Could not have been more pleased with the job that Mike and his team did building our house. From start to finish, we felt like we were always being given great service. The build quality of our home is outstanding. We looked at a lot of builders before selecting Southern Comfort homes. We definitely made the right choice working with this builder.

Building a house can be stressful, but working with Mike and his staff who have made the process streamlined, made it a friendly experience. During the process, they made sure that all questions were answered, and they have been easy to contact. After we moved in, the team continued to be available for any punch list items which represents the quality of Southern Comfort Homes. They are involved from the beginning to the end making sure the house is your ultimate dream house.

For the construction of our new home, my expectations were very high. I am a licensed professional engineer with more than 40 years of experience in the construction phase of various architectural and engineering building projects. Having completed the construction of our house in St James approximately a year ago, my wife and I are completely satisfied with the building process using Southern Comfort Homes. Michael High and his team were always available, to work with us, making sure the subcontractors performed quality work throughout. There were no schedule, cost, or quality surprises. They do what they say they will, on time, and with no surprise change orders. With building costs rising so fast, Michael worked with us to value engineer our house design so that it would fit into our budget, while delivering all the aesthetic and functional features we had our hearts set on. Their efforts did not end when the house was finished. They continue to be available after the house is done, to make any adjustments or minor fixes that might come up (there have not been many!). We cannot recommend Southern Comfort enough and our home is always open to anyone that wants to see what an honest, hardworking, and smart builder can do.

We are as pleased today with our Southern Comfort home today as we were when we first moved in almost 8 years ago. The quality and workmanship was top rate. Steve and his entire team were professional and responsive to questions and concerns. We continue to get compliments on our home, especially the tiger wood floors, the granite in the kitchen, and the stonework on the wall behind the fireplace. We added a Carolina Room over an existing 320 sq. ft. open deck. We had to tie in to a roof with 5 different pitches. Other contractors could not figure it out. SC Homes designed a gabel which tied in perfectly and matched an existing gabel on the house. The workmanship including trim work, painting and a very detailed couffered ceiling is flawless. We also had two arches constructed as entryways which matched our current archways in the house. The addition both inside and out looks like it was part of the original construction. One neighbor who had a recent addition of his own called ours spectacular. SC Homes delivered everythiing as promised and on-time. We are very pleased. Steve, Rick and Carlos were a pleasure to work with.

Southern Comfort Homes built my home in 2012. They completed and work with us on all our demands and custom ideas that we had. They were very professional and very much creative when it came to the design of my home. They are very up to date with technology which is very important when designing a home to visually see it on the computer. The staff is family to us now.
