Daniel specializes in taking a house and transforming it into a home—a genuine place that reflects those who live in it. Daniel believes great design is achieved by creating an authentic environment that represents the clients’ individuality, heart, and soul. From a very young age, Daniel knew that interior design was not only his passion but one of his inherent talents. As a teenager he created window displays for his Uncle’s Optical business, decorated multiple families Christmas trees, and helped his Great Aunt choose selections for her new home! A native of the Triangle, Daniel attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he studied Political Science. After working in retail management for several years, he returned to Bauder College in Atlanta to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design with areas of concentration in textile and lighting design. When it comes to designing spaces, Daniel draws on his many career experiences. Spending a decade in the Fashion Industry equipped him with expansive knowledge of space planning, color concepts, and textiles. Daniel’s most recent work in furniture and design centers have led to him being featured in Ethan Allen’s national marketing campaign and on the television show Open House NYC. Daniel embraces his client’s personalities and lifestyles as he develops and executes design plans that incorporate both form and function. Through his love of travel and culture, Daniel has refined his far-ranging aesthetic. His unrivaled enthusiasm helps make clients' dream homes realities. Daniel’s philosophy is that the needs of each clients are realized by actively listening, thoughtful collaboration, and flawless execution.

I have had the pleasure of working with Daniel on multiple projects which include a home renovation. He is a professional who listens and always helps me to achieve the style I want and the comfort that I need. This past year, Daniel helped me through my window replacement project that resulted in stunning window coverings with automation! He is always patient and offers multiple selections. He has an uncanny knowledge of my tastes and I've always been totally delighted with the outcome. His scheduling keeps things moving and organized. He was able to get all window coverings installed in time for Thanksgiving this year by planning ahead. If you are in need of a excellent design professional, Daniel would be an outstanding choice.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Daniel twice and each time I can truly say, I was blown away! Daniel was able to help me arrange all my furniture from one home to another, Daniel even printed out a floor plan for me to give the movers for the exact location of each piece of furniture. Daniel not only helped me in location of furniture, but he also helped me with picking out new paint color and lighting fixtures to match up with my existing furniture and the theme of my new place. Daniel is not just my designer, but we’ve become friends and I trust Daniel’s opinion 100%. As I tell my friends and family, I must consult with Daniel before I change up anything in my home! Maria

Daniel was kind enough to help us in a moment of stress, when we needed immediate assistance. We thank him for that, and were thrilled with his ability to show us 3D views of the placement (and sizing/proportions, of course) of furniture and accessories. Our project was two-fold, how to incorporate the major pieces we owned into a much smaller space and balance them with functional and beautiful additions. Not only did Daniel show us how we could use what we already owned (worth the entire design fee as far as we were concerned!), but he was tireless in finding those additions -- and all while managing the constraints of time and a pandemic! Additionally, Daniel provided a gorgeous design for roof top entertaining and dining. We're looking forward to implementing that ourselves as budget and weather allow! We'd highly recommend his services.

We first met Daniel Sawyer when we relocated to Apex, NC, from Pennsylvania. Although he was under no obligation, Daniel volunteered to be at our new house for the initial delivery of new furniture. After becoming familiar with our style, he has been invaluable in making numerous suggestions to help us arrange and furnish our new home. Daniel has a great sense of style and has helped us broaden our decorating horizons in many ways. His furniture, lighting fixture and artwork selections have been perfect for us and his fabric selections have resulted in exquisite upholstery, window treatments and accessories. Daniel has always been professional, courteous, responsive, patient, and responsible - going above and beyond by being on-site to supervise deliveries and installations. He has speedily resolved the few minor issues we have encountered. Daniel works hard at coming up with options for us to make a selection that works best for us. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Daniel and without hesitation would recommend him for any project large or small.

After being in our home for a little over 18 years the time had come to update our master bedroom. Knowing we needed an expert for assistance, we sought out and decided on Daniel L. Sawyer. We could not have made a better choice! Wanting to bring our bedroom into 2020 but maintain our traditional design aesthetic posed a design challenge. Daniel was able to transform our outdated bedroom into a modern sanctuary and we love it. The quality of the fabrics, craftsmanship, and look of the finished products are excellent, durable, and long lasting. I highly recommend Daniel Sawyer. You will thank yourself everyday that you chose the best designer for your project!

He's a great listener and never fails to always improve upon my ideas! He's a natural when it comes to taking what I want, making it even better and laying out a beautiful plan. We first met Daniel a little over a year and half ago. We were updating our living room and office space. The office space was completed first and it was at this time that I knew Daniel was the right designer for us. He was extremely patient and listened to our needs and was paramount in assisting with the final vision of the rooms. His expertise and professionalism were of utmost importance to us. He is one of the easiest and kindest individuals to work with. An outstanding professional with an eye for design whether it be form or function in a room. We just had our living room install today and couldn’t be more excited and happy with the end result…it is exactly how I envisioned and completely and wholeheartedly would highly recommend Daniel. We purchased a new build home after relocating to the triangle area. I was very overwhelmed with finding furnishings to fill our large family room while keeping within my style and neutral color choices. After driving around and looking in many new and familiar furniture stores, stopped by the Ethan Allen in Cary. Daniel listened carefully to my style preferences and needs, he explained the many options available and visited our house to get a sense of our style and to take careful measurements. He shared a great floor plan with us and then met with us in-store to look at sofa style options and sizes, fabrics, chairs, accent and coffee tables. We purchased two beautiful sofas, two chairs, end tables and a coffee table, all of which look stunning in our family room while keeping with my style preferences and color scheme. Daniel is very professional yet fun to work with, I would highly recommend him.
