Roxy Designs

We couldn't be happier with our beautiful new front and back yards. Roxy submitted a reasonable bid to install a landscape plan drawn up by two designers. Based on her knowledge of plants and local conditions, she suggested some good modifications to the plan. It took Roxy's crew just under five weeks to perform major hard scape and plant demolition, and to install about 200 new plants, a tile walkway with a raised feature planter, a fountain, a special double fence, a paver driveway, a circular flagstone patio, a complete drip irrigation system, and pathway and feature lights. The crew did excellent work efficiently and neatly. In addition to being accessible and responsive. Roxy is a very nice person. We highly recommend her firm.

Roxy and her team transformed our small 40-year old patio, as well as an interior atrium and our front entry. From the first time we met Roxy and Reva, we knew that our new outdoor living space would be amazing. They delivered a comfortable, practical, sustainable and beautiful design. They worked through some HOA restrictions with ease, and kept us updated on the status of the project every step of the way. We love to sit on our patio, and the pup loves his new "puppy lawn". The view from the living room opens up our home, and the beautiful ipe wood deck in the atrium has become an extension of our dining room. Best of all, when we arrive home, or greet guests at our house, we are proud of the welcoming entryway.

Our landscaping was 20 years old and after looking online and speaking with Roxy we chose Roxy Designs to redo front and back yard. The design was very nice and we are really enjoying the beautiful final outcome. Plant design/selection was very nice both for water conservation and beauty with some blossoms throughout the year. We greatly appreciated that Roxy followed through to get everything right when there was a small problem with part of the project. She has been accessible and responsible. Her crew were nice and helpful. Most importantly our yard looks great and we will enjoy being outside more now.

Roxy Designs completely re-designed our backyard, including solving a serious drainage problem. Julie did an incredible design which integrated an existing hillside and patio/pergola. The design included 33 boulders, elevation changes, a meandering path, Japanese maple trees, over 135 plants, and bocce court! Fortino and his crew did the work. At all times, the crew was professional, hardworking, skilled, polite, and responsive to our questions and requests. The end result is a beautiful, peaceful place that makes us happy just sitting there!

We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Roxy and her team. Roxy came to our home and immediately on our first meeting we found her to be practical and thoughtful. She visited our backyard and asked great questions about what we would like to have. It felt like she really wanted to understand our personality as a family. We wanted a backyard that is functional and productive. We wanted a lot of room to grow plants, fruit trees and veggies. We have a very large backyard that is also sloped so it was not easy to figure how to get this done. Roxy knows the area very well and was able to ground us and evaluate what can be done with our backyard. She and Reka were also very thoughtful throughout the process to help us balance our budget with the outcome we wanted. They helped us understand what parts of the project are really important versus parts that can be done at a later time if we wanted to. Within a month we had a beautiful backyard that had lots of space to grow veggies. We are already harvesting crops and making use of it and our kids are enjoying helping out in the process. We got our dream come true. Our project is not over but we are so excited to get to work with Roxy and her team.

Roxy completed a full landscaping job for us that included front, back and side yards, stone wall, concrete and paver driveway, new front steps and porch, new back deck, irrigation and lighting. It was a large project and challenging in many ways. Throughout the process Roxy and her team kept us informed, managed the schedule, helped deal with concerns by neighbors and anything else we felt we needed help on. We certainly couldn't have done this without their help. The planning stage was very thorough. Julie and Roxy listened to what we wanted and our preferences and created a great plan. They were happy to incorporate changes we wanted and the process was very collaborative. The installation was likewise well planned out and everyone on the installation crew was excellent. They were considerate towards us and our neighbors and I never heard any complaints about too much noise, dirt, etc. The installations were topnotch and they were very helpful when we asked for some changes to be made, there was no hesitation. Even after they were complete, Roxy and her crew came back to check on things and make sure the plants were doing well and things remained working. Additionally Roxy spent time training us on the irrigation and lighting systems, which is a big help (even though they need no oversight.) I wholeheartedly recommend Roxy for any landscaping need. Her team can handle as much as you throw at them with professionalism and zeal!

We really enjoyed working with Roxy and Reka on our backyard project. They worked with us to create a wonderful space for entertaining and playing with our children. Their ability to transform our backyard into a beautiful space, while incorporating our ideas and needs, is greatly appreciated after years of trying to brainstorm by ourselves. We also appreciated Roxy and Reka’s flexibility in developing our project and staying within our budget. We wish we had started our project sooner with Roxy Designs!

We wanted to crest a peaceful oasis in our yard. Roxy and Julie designed and completed a project of our neighbor’s which is so beautiful and we knew they were the team who could help us. Roxy and Julie sat in our yard multiple times getting to know us and the space. This was a large project including a new deck, dry well for gutters to drain into, fencing, hardscape, grading, lighting, you name it. We now have an area for our grandkids to play, berries for them to pick, veggie beds we have wanted for so long, colorful drought tolerant plantings. A quiet haven after a long day. Roxy Design is a design and build firm and did a wonderful job re-designing my backyard (which was a disaster after adding on to the house). One of the things that I appreciated about working with Roxy and Reka, was their ability to walk into the back yard and immediately have great suggestions about what was needed to optimize the space as well as highlight some of the natural beauty of the yard. The re-design was extensive and involved new irrigation, lighting, soil removal to allow for more usable space, decking, two retaining walls made of stone and moss rock, a fire pit, replanting and my favorite, a fountain. Her building team was on time and respectful of my property. The yard looks great and Roxy Design is highly recommended.

We really enjoyed working with Roxy and her team. They came up with a great design for both our front and back yard refreshes. Design was in early 2019 with implementation in the spring. The crew kept things pretty tidy throughout. As with any large project there have been a few items to tend to once the project was completed (drip irrigation needed adjustments) and Roxy and team were responsive in dealing with this follow-up. The plants are already growing but we can't wait until next spring when everything should really fill in.

We had an old deck with dry rot and decades old plantings that all needed updating. Most importantly our French drains were not working and water was getting under our home, Roxy and Julie created a very attractive new plan that fixed the water problem and added pizzazz to our backyard with new accent lighting and plants.

What a transformation! Years of drought and a failed irrigation system left our yards a wasteland. Roxy and Julie were a delight to work with and they designed a drought tolerant plan that included a new irrigation system and accent lighting. We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out!
