I recently used Ronda to help me with a bathroom and laundry room remodel. Her input and designs were spot on to my description of the vision I had for 3 bathrooms and a laundry. She was a pleasure to work with. I also used Thompson Remodeling for the construction portion, and they work in tandem with Ronda and take care of anything you need from start to finish. Even facing the issues of Covid limitations and ongoing issues with supply chain slow down I was able to get everything I needed to complete my project. If you are responsible to order tile or any bathroom/laundry supplies (washer/dryer, tubs, sinks, faucets, and light fixtures) the sooner you look for these items and get ordered the faster your project will be completed. Ronda and Thompson Remodeling were extremely helpful for recommendations for any items the homeowner is responsible to supply!!! They also give you a realistic time frame to expect your project to be completed and quickly address any issues that can affect the completion of your project - patience is a must in these times to complete a big renovation! Ronda was hands on during my project and responded quickly by email or phone!

Ronda was recommended to us by our contractor. To be succinct, we could not be happier with the result. Her attention to detail is amazing, She noticed small flaws in some of the cabinetry that we didn't even see and replaced the offending pieces. All of her suggestions were spot on, and she was an invaluable asset when we were ordering the materials. We worked with Ronda to update the kitchen and 2 full baths in our townhouse. This was our first remodel, and having Ronda's help was invaluable. She answered all of our questions and gently guided us to choices we might not have thought of initially but absolutely love now that they're implemented. A lot of her projects here are in gorgeous high-end homes, but she was able to deliver that same feel of luxury on a budget in our much smaller place. Event though we didn't change the dimensions of the rooms, Ronda helped us make them feel so much bigger and more useful through her design and layouts. Her experience in the kitchen resulted in 2x as much counter space as we used to have, and actually empty drawers!

We knocked down a wall between our kitchen and living room to make an open floor plan. We had new cabinets, flooring,and countertops installed. Ronda gave us a design for a new flow for our kitchen and I couldn’t be happier with it! I had no idea how to pick out cabinets and her ideas gave me everything I wanted in cabinets. She was incredibly helpful and patient with me as I have never remodeled a kitchen before. Everyone who comes into my house now raves about my kitchen! I highly recommend Ronda!

Ronda did an amazing job, and during the pandemic no less! I had a complete redo of the kitchen from bottom up due to an insurance claim. With only a basic idea of where I wanted to go Ronda helped me see all of the possibilities. We had zoom chats to discuss layout, visited tile and countertop warehouses socially distanced with masks on, and coordinated with contractors. It never would have turned out as amazing as it did without Ronda! I absolutely recommend Better By Design!

We used Ronda to renovate our kitchen that was in its original state from when the house was built in the 60’s. It was closed off, out of style and needed to be totally gutted. We gave Ronda some basic ideas about what we had hoped for, and she was super creative and came up with a perfect open design. We met Ronda of Better By Design in April 2019 when we needed to renovate our kitchen, 2 and half bathrooms, entry and hallways. Every room in the interior of the house needed to be painted and hardwood flooring installed and stained. The decisions that needed to be made to keep the project moving ahead were overwhelming to us. The cabinet storage capacity, and open concept kitchen/dining room area came out wonderfully. After having enjoyed using our new cabinets, sink, granite countertops, tile flooring, lighting fixtures, tile backsplash, range hood, microwave oven, and stainless appliances over the past six months --- well let's just say, the design you worked out for us came together well above our highest expectations! Considering all I was certain of before I met you was the brand and style of cabinets I wanted, we traveled a very long road together. The wall removal and entrance change to the kitchen allowed some very desirable improvements. You accompanied my husband and me to help us choose our granite, tiles, and flooring at places you knew and trusted. You referred us to the finest granite installer and suggested ideas for wall colors. The bathroom remodel included a door and closet removal. You managed to fit in a beautiful double sink vanity and matching storage cabinet. Again, you helped coordinate floor tile, tub tile surround and border, and quartz vanity top. The resulting bathroom is unrecognizable and so much more functional. If ever an individual or family is in need of a warm, talented, professional who listens and delivers, they will find it in you. Ms. Hyams, and her company (Better by Design) is nothing less than amazing. Ronda at the start took the time to really get to know me and my desire for our renovation. She took pride and she devoted the time needed to perfect the design. Her dedication did not stop there. She managed every phase of the project as though it were her own home. We had many unique design element encompassing the moving of plumbing lines, electrical hookups and introducing gas into the kitchen. Lighting changes to include the addition of 14 recessed lights, under cabinet lighting and LED strip lights in our upper glass cabinets. Our kitchen transformation also had us removing a load bearing wall and installing a carrier beam to support the ceiling. During this process we added a tongue and groove ceiling in the kitchen, which Ms. Hyams took in stride and had it installed without affecting the time line of the project. Ms. Hyams takes design work seriously with a level of dedication to detail unmatched by others, all of this and her highly skilled team at a very fair competitive price.

I personally recommend Better By Design, LLC. Ronda understood our vision and came up with a plan for built in bookcases around our fireplace. Her drawings were creative and spot on. Our first experience with Ronda was after interviewing three other interior decorators with credentials. We asked her to look at our home, in general, and offer suggestions to improve the flow, decorations, windows, etc. When Ronda walked into the eating area of our kitchen, which, at the time, had an oversized dinning set we had purchased with our last house in mind. She suggested extending our small island with cabinets, quiet close drawers and creative niches; some custom sized for our appliances and other kitchen items. Ronda was an absolute pleasure to work with putting together my small laundry room. She gave great suggestions on the style and types of cabinets we needed and color suggestions for the counter-tops. Ordering and scheduling everything with Ronda was a breeze, and I would make sure any other rooms in my house that need be designed, would definitely go through her once again.

Ronda helped design our new kitchen and great room and provided samples of cabinetry and hardware. She went with us to choose the granite and wall tile. She also helped us to select the tile pattern and created the backsplash design behind the range top. Ronda is a pleasure to work with and knows her line of work very well. She advised us regarding our decision on colors for the hardwood flooring and paint. She accompanied us to stores and helped us choose the style, color and fabric for the dining table and chairs, bar stools, sectional and area rug. Ronda also suggested the fabric and design of the drapery for the patio door and large window in our great room. The kitchen and great room came together very nicely and we are extremely pleased. All the colors blend so well and complement each other with the granite, tile and furniture. We're just in awe whenever we step into the room. We would highly recommend Ronda!

Although my project is currently still in progress, I can say that working with Ronda is nothing less than a great experience. She is always there for me whenever I need her and she has the best design ideas for my project. I have used her in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

From the moment we met Rhonda, we knew we were in good hands. First she listened and then went to work making suggestions and changes to provide us with everything we wanted. She practically held our hands through all phases of the kitchen project and made sure we were happy with what was taking place. She was in contact with the contractor, through out the project, even spotting potential problems and having them corrected before they became real problems. We have another project coming up and will be calling on her expertise and and concern for her clients, to again get us through this easily and successfully. I literally bumped into and subsequently met Rhonda at a home remodel convention. We struck up a conversation as to why I was there and it quickly became obvious that she had a vast knowledge of home remodeling and design. My wife and I sat down with her in about 45 minutes she had a very clear idea as to exactly what we wanted to do our home which was located in Mobile Alabam. She went well beyond the normal consultation. She was able to set up a video conferences as well as do the design based on measurements that I was able to provide her. Ronda was also willing and did fly to Mobile Alabama to do the consultation prior to the purchasing of any of the cabinets. Her knowledge of the shipping and installation process was also very reassuring to us that we in fact were well taking care of. This was an entire remodeling of a large laundry mud room. Ronda's ability to see tile, paint selection is remarkable. She helped in the selection process of a qualified installation company who clearly understood quality workmanship. My wife and I could not be more thrilled with the way it came out and more importantly the service and attention to detail Ronda put into our profect. The project was done on time and on budget.

Our home is 28 years old and we were finally ready to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms. Our contractor, AW Martin - East Windsor, NJ highly recommended Ronda Hyams (Better by Design) to help us redesign our new kitchen. The kitchen project involved the removal of a load bearing wall between the kitchen and our family room (see picture of open concept view – our table is now located where the wall used to be), the removal of a bay window in the kitchen, the removal of soffit above the old cabinets for additional cabinet space to our ceiling, and the installation of a new patio door. We re-used two of the bay windows (see patio door picture) to install on the left and right side of the patio door which saved us money compared to purchasing a much wider patio door and it worked beautifully for us. The overall design provided us with additional cabinet space, more room for our kitchen table with a wonderful view of our pool and back yard, and a much larger island. We selected our granite counter tops (Cold Spring) at Onur Marble & Granite, and our wood patterned tile flooring at Avalon Flooring, both located in Langhorne, PA. Ronda suggested the darker wood designed tile floor color to complement our white cabinets. She also helped us pick the backsplash tile to complement our granite counter top, and a decorative tile pattern we found at Home Depot. We met at Ronda’s display studio in Ewing NJ to come up with a cabinet design, style and color we were looking for. Ronda also helped us pick out our wall and trim paint colors to use in our kitchen, bathrooms and hallways to complement our new design. Ronda responded promptly to our email and text messages for a quick reply to our questions. She came to our home many times before, during and after the project to ensure everything ran smoothly. She even stopped by when the cabinets were delivered to make sure everything was there. We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen renovation. Everyone says it looks like a designer showcase and we just love it! Ronda was very helpful throughout this project and it was wonderful working with her.

Ronda helped us design our new kitchen for a complete remodel. She listened to our ideas and what we needed, and she also had her own ideas that we didn't think of and were very helpful. She has an excellent eye for design. We went tile and granite shopping with her. She had many layouts for us to choose from, and she worked with us to figure out what was best for us. We used her contractor, Steve, who did a great job with his friendly and professional crew. This was our first remodel, and we were a little nervous about the process, but they kept us informed the whole way. There were 1 or 2 minor issues during the reno, but solutions were found for them. We went away during the last week of the renovation, and they emailed us daily with updates. At the end of each day, they would clean up before they left, which we appreciated. The end result is beautiful! We were so pleased with them that we plan on using them again for a bathroom remodel!

We hired Ronda Hyams of Better by Design to stage our house before we put it on the market. It's a fairly small house, so staging it was a challenge, but Ronda very quickly came up with great suggestions for almost every room. Her ideas were all very doable, and they made a wonderful improvement in how the house showed. From rearranging furniture to adding accent pieces to staging the kitchen and bathrooms, she had so many ideas that never would have occurred to us. Ronda is a great communicator, and working with her was really enjoyable. The results: our house was on the market for just 11 days, we got six offers, and we sold for substantially more than our asking price! We're sure that her staging made a crucial difference. Ronda did an amazing job. She staged our house and did it so well we are sure that is the reason it sold immediately. For the work she did and how effective it was we feel we actually underpaid her. She moves fast and decorates with artistic skills. We definitely felt like she knew her stuff so we let her do the entire project the way she wanted to and we are so glad we did.

Ronda helped us with designing a new kitchen. She was super knowledgable, extremely helpful, understanding about our wishes, very nice and pleasant to deal with, and she has great taste. Altogether we had top-notch dealings with her, but one event in particular stands out. The carpenters had finished a cupboard and mounted it on the kitchen wall. But it wasn't the way I wanted it or what we had conveyed to them. I was pretty upset and called Ronda, even on a Sat. afternoon, and just told her how disappointed I was. She came to my rescue: she understood exactly where I was coming from, told me she'd take care of it, and indeed she did. The cupboard was taken down and fixed according to our wishes, and is now beautiful and just the way I had dreamed it would be. So . . . Ronda's wonderful!

Ronda provided color and design consultation for my new home. She took her time to understand my likes and dislikes and helped me to select the perfect colors and furniture layout to achieve the look I wanted. I could not have done this without her help!!! We enjoyed working with Ronda on our recent kitchen renovation. We interviewed several designers and contractors for this project and Ronda was the only one who really listened and gave us a design that met our needs where the others tried to ‘force’ us into design elements we simply did not want. We appreciated Ronda’s enthusiasm for our project and her ability to interpret what we were looking for and turn that into reality. Ronda was available to us throughout the project if we had any questions and she coordinated everything with the various contractors, which reduced our stress level. Even when there was a hiccup (there were very few!), Ronda jumped right in to get it straightened out for us. Ours was a fairly large project that involved gutting two rooms, removing two walls, installing a full kitchen and replacing our HVAC. From the first day of demo to the last punch list item, the project took about 8 weeks, which was within the time we were promised. That’s pretty important when you’re living without a kitchen! Ronda worked with us previously on a bath remodeling project, so of course we thought of her when it was time to choose new carpeting and make a few other changes to refresh our older townhouse. Ronda really listens and gives you choices, but not too many to overwhelm you. She's very willing to work with your budget and find other options If something turns out to be too expensive. If you decide an idea is something you don't want to pursue, she's fine with that. We love our new carpeting and were very pleased with the installer she works with. She helped us choose a new armchair, lamp, some overhead lighting and a side table. Everything is stylish, but not overdone. The overall effect is just what we had hoped for. We will certainly consult her the next time we need interior design advice.

Ronda was fantastic! She helped explain things every step of the way and enabled me to make the right choices for our kitchen. My wife had to travel during this period because of an emergency and we would never have been aable to complete the project without Ronda's suggestions. She even went out of her way to select samples and drop them off at our house. I recommend her most strongly.
