My recording studio design firm Wes Lachot Design Group has worked with Richter-Norton Architecture on a number of projects over the years, and I have nothing but great things to say about working with Barbara Richter.

Barbara has a good eye for spaces and consulted with me about possible changes to my contemporary home. Her rate was reasonable and documentation very thorough.

I am a general contractor who is working with Barbara on several large, residential projects. I find her to be an extremely thoughtful and diligent architect. She takes her clients and projects seriously and follows through on providing needed details. She answers my phone calls or returns them promptly and with a positive, cheerful attitude.

Barbara Richter is an architect second to none! My husband is a disabled veteran with needs for adaptable housing that will enable him some degrees of independence in his daily living. This means that our house needs renovation- an added room to accommodate his needs and other adjustments to the home. Barbara came to our rescue and began the process by providing the blueprints and schematic drawings. It is how she did it that continues to impress me as she performed her duties professionally, courteously, and respect for my husband, a retired disabled veteran and for me, his wife. She listened intently and recorded our wish list of needs and wants; she let us dream! Then Barbara took our dreams and planned for our needs based on funding, practicality, efficiency and specification from the federal government. We strongly believe that Barbara saw us as more than “just clients.” We believe she viewed us as persons she connected with and wanted to help. We believe that Barbara loves her work and genuinely cares for those she serves. She has a brilliant mind and is so knowledgeable and skillful in her profession. Barbara worked as a team player with the Project Contractor and the Veterans Administration Official in Winston-Salem. When asked to send additional information or submit revised schematic drawings she did it, even with her busy schedule and in a timely manner with enormous patience. Additionally, as it regards her services, she offers rates that are very reasonable and fair. We are deeply appreciative of the help she has given us to begin the building of a new room for my husband that requires some renovation to our home. It is without hesitation and reservations and with enthusiasm that I strongly recommend Richter-Norton Architecture, PLLC for building and renovation needs.
