Michael worked with us on re-designing the interior layout and improve the street appeal of our tiny, red-brick duplex in Canberra. The brief was to incorporate a kitchen, dining, living, laundry, powder room and study into a minuscule space less than 50sqm, so it was quite a challenge. We loved his innovative design that made the best of the space, the light and the orientation. The plans were detailed and the renders were invaluable in visualising the end result. Michael is a consummate professional, and he’s also generous, patient and a pleasure to work with. Our build starts shortly and we just can’t wait!

Michael is really passionate about designing homes. This came through in the Passive Haus design that we are so happy with . He has also helped source materials for the build and even found me a builder. All at no extra charge. In a nutshell he is very passionate and this passion really come through in his design work. Highly recommended.

Michael provided drafting, design and concept work for some landscaping at our house. He was generous with his time and offered great design ideas and suggestions. But then his designs, concepts and renderings brought our landscaping dreams to life in a way we didn’t think was possible. I am currently working with Michael at reimagined habitat from concept to build on a large house renovation and extension project, and can't recommend him highly enough. Michael is able to blend creative design with a wide knowledge of sustainable materials, systems and building practices, so the end result doesn't compromise on style or substance. He is easy-going to work with, has an incredible contact list of trades and suppliers, and is driven to achieve an outstanding result for his clients.

I first met Michael as attendees on a Passive House Designers Course in 2017. After I had a failed engagement with an architect and another building designer, I started working with Michael in May 2018 on structural components of the house. Our strawbale house has some innovative concepts including: biomimicry, no dedicated heating or cooling, minimising upfront carbon, the structure supports a food forest, externally local flora and fauna is supported, as well as needing to be habitable. Michael's collaboration was excellent as he challenged many of my ideas and improved the design. Over time he assumed the role of designer and completed all of the design. The project received building approval in April 2020 and is currently under construction.

Michael prepared drawings for a timber deck and steel pergola for us. He did it in less than one week, at the agreed cost, and in time for us to give to the Certifiers to take to Council for Building Approval. The drawings went through straight away. When I later went to speak with the Engineer who had approved the drawings he told me that the drawings were 'Very Comprehensive'. This from Carl Bunk who is known to be very particular. Our deck and pergola have now been built, and we are looking forward to spending time outside - thanks to Michael.

We found Michael to be excellent. He was easy to work with and challenged us on our design. He was able to draw out why we had chosen certain elements and then proposed alternatives that enhanced many components of our build. We found him very generous with his outstanding knowledge, down to earth and very obliging. What a nice guy. Thank you Michael. Update Oct 2020 - Have contacted Michael this month to help with some DA issues that were not to do with his design or plans. He has helped us find others who can help with our issue immediately.
