Regina Steverson...Space Planning..Kitchen Design

Regina has such an incredible eye for space and potential. She’s remodeled two of our kitchens and I have referred friends! She’s lovely, stylish and forward thinking! You’ll not be disappointed with her!

Regina is a joy to work with and an expert space planner. I worked with Regina to create an amazing kitchen in a historic remodel. I have since worked with Regina on my bedroom and bathroom. I would highly recommend her work in design and execution!

Regina was excellent to work with. She was patient, courteous and followed up on multiple occasions not to mention, very knowledgeable. We never felt hurried or time constrained with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to design a kitchen or bath.

Regina is a sweetheart! She takes the time to understand what you need and want in a design. She's patient and flexible-things you need in a designer. My husband and I loved working with her and felt she had our best interest at heart. She's also very creative and redesigned our kitchen so that's it's the very best use of space. Also, it's beautiful!!

Regina is not only a delight to work with but very good at what she does. I gutted and removed walls during my kitchen remodel, not typically an issue unless you're incredibly indecisive and constantly changing your mind. I say this only because she was accommodating to my every change during the renovation and had to redraw my layout on a few occasions. Regina is super easy to work with and finds ways to make your dreams come true. I absolutely recommend her a 100 times over whether you're doing a budget remodel or want top of the line, I found myself somewhere in between. Her kitchen layouts/renderings look like the finished product. She kept me exactly at my budget and there were no surprises at the end. A true show kitchen and I have her to thank!

We purchased an older home that needed renovation. The kitchen, dining, living area floor plan was choppy and outdated. I had several designers in for quotes. Regina is the only one that had the vision to open the space by removing two walls. What was a large formal dining room, small kitchen, and separate living room became one large open area that capitalized on the views of the marsh. Even though it is open, I have my cooking area, bar, dining and living areas. Regina helped with appliance choices and was able to communicate effectively with my contractor on building columns to frame the walls that were removed. I love the walk in pantry she included in the design! She kept my tastes and budget in mind every step of the way. I highly recommend her services to anyone. My kitchen ( or should I say, Regina's kitchen) will be in the next issue of Charleston Home and Design magazine!

I have worked directly with Regina on several remodeling projects. She is knowledgeable and creative, bringing high impact ideas at the right time to ensure design elements 'work' within budgets, timelines, and other requirements (obtaining a certain 'look'). She has valuable input/opinions, but after offering them she doesn't impose them like other designers often do (she truly tries to help you achieve your obejctives--not hers). I have other remodeling projects that are upcomings, and there is no one else I will hire to help me with cabinet layout and design.

Regina worked with us over several months to first plan and then perform a complete kitchen remodel. Our original kitchen was the standard kitchen built in houses in our neighborhood in a golf course community. The cabinet tops were laminate, the floor vinyl and the cabinets made of oak. The kitchen included a pantry closet, a glass-top range with microwave above the range and average storage space with no special amenities. Regina helped us design a much-upgraded kitchen with Decora maple cabinets with under the cabinet lighting, soft-close drawers, pantries included in the cabinetry with the pantry closet removed, one cabinet built with lighting for china display, additional cabinetry along the wall into the breakfast area, all beautifully trimmed. Lighting was upgraded throughout the kitchen with all main lights on dimmers. The vinyl floor was replaced with large tiles laid on an angle to enhance their visual attractiveness. The electric glass-top slide-in range was replaced with a Jenn-Air gas-top electric oven. The over-the-range microwave was replaced with a microwave drawer that my wife loves. A tile back splash was also added between all of the upper and lower cabinets. Finally, an appliance garage was installed to house our coffeemaker, tea maker and toaster. We feel great about the finished product. Looking back, we also feel really good about the process. We found Regina to be creative, dependable, responsible and generally a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her services.

Regina took my ideas for my dream kitchen and made them a reality. Not only did she design what I wanted, she suggested several improvements to my concepts that made my kitchen much more functional. She had extensive knowledge of all of the appliances, countertops and cabinets that I selected and easily incorporated them into the design. She was friendly, professional and fun to work with.
