Raven Hardwood Flooring

I don't think I can recommend Raven Hardwood Flooring highly enough. It was a pleasure working with Jason and Arthur from start to finish - they exceeded my expectations in every step of the process. Our project involved removing old carpet, installation of new maple flooring to match our old existing floor, sanding and staining everything to match. We were warned by another company that maple is very difficult to stain. While that may be true, you wouldn't know it from the beautiful result of Jason and Arthur's craftsmanship! They are meticulous artisans with attention to detail that's second to none. Jason was always incredibly responsive and one of the nicest guys you'll work with. He and Arthur were punctual and kept the work area clean, and they went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our new floor was a high level of quality and craftsmanship. We couldn't be happier with our new floor and are so happy we found Raven!

Our experience with Jason and Arthur was exceptional from start to finish. Jason helped us to pick the best flooring option in our budget and went above and beyond by constructing a large sample of a herringbone pattern so we could see exactly what our choice would look like. They also suggested that we continue the hardwood floors a little farther than we anticipated for aesthetic reasons and did the extra flooring free of charge. Jason and Arthur take pride in their work and our true artisans. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with them and I would recommend them to anyone looking for new or re-finished hardwood floors.

The team members with Raven Hardwood Flooring were exceptional from quote to clean up. We received three proposals for the resurfacing of the flooring and no other quote included or even addressed the uneven sub floor and varying use of materials hidden beneath the flooring we wanted refinished. Their quote included the refinishing, uneven floors and was still under the competitor bids. The team arrived to the job site on time, and as scheduled everyday. After each day the team cleaned the space and any trace that they had been in the home. Our neighbors complimented their politeness and efficiency. The completed job was done perfectly, not only did they address the sub floor, their craftsmanship on the base boards, vents, stairs and careful consideration to match paint and stain is incomparable. We consistently receive compliments from guests on the work.

I worked with Raven last spring when I decided to replace my carpet with hardwood flooring. I wasn't sure exactly what to install, but Jason listened to my preferences and brought samples of several flooring types to help me decide. I ended up choosing a 5" wide prefinished acacia (which I love). This all sounds pretty typical, but two significant things set Jason apart from other contractors, in my opinion. First: Jason is extremely responsive. Getting some companies to answer their phone, let alone return a call or e-mail is a challenge. Not with Raven. Jason is genuinely happy to answer questions and he took time to listen to my questions and explain the process, techniques, options, etc. involved with completing my project. Second: quality workmanship. With Jason, no detail was overlooked. Not only did he install my floor (and a beautiful diagonal pattern in a border in my dining area), but when he noticed one of my door frames was missing trim, he got the material, stained it to match, and installed it for me. Jason is timely, professional, and an expert on what he does. He's also really friendly! I can't recommend him--and Raven--highly enough.
