Rachel has managed four projects for us over the last 6 years: (1) interior design for our new apartment complementing pieces of our furniture with new pieces, (2) design and production of a bespoke media unit & shelving, (3) a bespoke wine cabinet and (4) complete renovation and staging (with rented furniture) of an apartment in readiness for successful sale. In all the projects, Rachel listened to our ideas and constraints, recommended improvements and innovations to deliver on time, within budget. The end results reflected our personalities with Rachel's added style. We have no hesitation in recommending Rachael for big and small projects.

Couldn't be happier! I was looking for a design "partner" who would take my disjointed, sketchy ideas and deliver a professional coordinated final product within a reasonable budget. Rachel did all of these. In our planning meetings Rachel listened to what I wanted and "got it". Without losing the original vision she pushed me, suggested options and filled in the details. The result has been a complete home transformation. She was a pleasure to work with in a creative sense. With an appreciation of a broad range of different styles she was able to generate (many) ideas for me and not simply deliver one genre- she is not a one trick pony. The full project scope project was delivered on time and under budget. Rachel and I had regular update meetings so that at all times I felt the timetable and budget were under control. The meetings were very professional and productive. Ideas and samples were well organised and presented. Her budget summaries were clear and informative. She was very clear on what decisions we needed to make and by when. Rachel works with an experienced team of tradesmen who all delivered a high quality product - no issues. I happily recommend her.

Rachel was our design architect for a refurbishment of our master bedroom. From start to finish, she was supportive of our ideas, never foisting her own on us. She has a gift for listening to and understanding the needs and tastes of her clients and sourcing quality materials to accomplish a renovation in keeping with those tastes. She also works with talented and efficient tradespeople who get the job done quickly and painlessly. It was a pleasure to work with Rachel on our project.

Rachel is amazing. Our house is full of character, but it was also dark, a bit fiddly and tired, and was in real need of a fresh approach and proper renovation. We basically needed someone to take it in hand and sort it out, and she certainly did this! We asked Rachel to lead the design and installation of the interior fittings and finishes (including kitchen, bathrooms, doors, staircase, soft furnishings, lighting, and decorations etc) . One of the many good things about Rachel was the way she worked with us. She listened carefully, then step by step took us through creative and practical options, helping us very efficiently find new and interesting solutons, always ensuring we were agreed as we went through. As this was also a build and reconfiguration project (as well as design and installation), it was vital Rachel worked very closely with the builder and architect, and we were hugely impressed by how well she managed this. She was deeply professional, and steered her whole design through from options/ concept to ordering/ coordinating and finally good quality delivery, while maintaining excellent coordination and communications the other parties. We also greatly appreciated that while always looking to ensure we were happy with our decisions, she also opened our eyes to options and ideas we would never have considered, which meant the end result was considerably stronger than we ever imagined. We now have a bright open, contemporary while still characterful home and we love everything she has done. Finally, her commitent and attention to detail was so strong it lasted right up to the very last light bulb and last clean! Huge thank you to Rachel.

What are you looking for in an interior designer? Simple question but one you as the client need to be clear on. We have used Rachel Cooper for a few years now because what we want is: 1. Creative ideas and a real depth of knowledge and contacts re sourcing products etc - definitely a tick here (but. I suspect many designers can deliver here). 2. Good interaction with me as the client - bounce ideas, but also push a few things to get some fresh thinking or approaches - that’s a skill that requires balance and this is where we believe Rachel starts to differentiate. If she has a good idea she will push it, but only to make me/anyone think a bit more about what they want. 3. Delivery. This is where Rachel come into her own - her commitment to delivering to deadlines and budgets in a field full of creative people is makes her stand-out. Tenacious on behalf of her clients. That is worth paying for!
