Frans Velthuijsen, president and owner of Quality & Quantity Construction Services, Incorporated. Has an engineering background (BSc. Building Engineering) and more than 25 years of experience in the SF Bay Area as well as in Nevada County. Years of hands-on repair and remodeling with some renowned San Francisco contractors, has helped him understand the life cycle of buildings and their components, as well as the importance of quality “life cycle balanced” detailing. Frans just recently obtained the BPI Building Analyst certification, which qualifies Q & Q Construction for the Energy Upgrade California program. He is a member of the Nevada County Contractors Association (NCCA), chair of the Foothills Sierra Green Building Association (SiGBA), and an IGSHPA (International Ground Source Heat Pump Association) accredited Ground Source Heat Pump installer (also referred to as Geothermal Heating and Cooling). Frans stays informed about the latest techniques and building products and their environmentally conscious applications. He provides opportunities for clients to learn more about their design and material choices, energy efficiency, comfort and indoor air quality.
