KMAC Design

Kathy, of Kmac design, really helped me put things in order. It wasn't a big job, but her feed back was big. She utilized what I already had (understanding that some things my husband just won't say goodbye to!) and made it work. Also, adding some "pops" to make the room more exciting and warm. I will definitely hire Kmac in the future for bigger projects ie...my kitchen.

Kathy (K mac) designs is amazing. She listens to what you are envisioning and has insightful and fantastic ideas. Plus she can do this economically.She also is a joy to work with, gets back to you quickly and responsively. No job is too small or large for her. She has a modern sensibility and will make traditional homes look fresh and new, or will go completely modern, organic,or what ever you like. Also. her suggestions are run by what you want, and if you don't know she can help you figure it out. You will actually feel like you have made a friend. Completely professional and uniquely qualified is how I would describe her services..

Kathy McIntire, of Kmac Design, is a talented and resourceful decorator. She has a quick grasp of your style and, while making it seem effortless, she finds the resources and ideas to implement the concept her customer is striving to achieve. In essence, she simply "makes it work." Like a magician, she maintains a list of professionals who can get the job done. For example, when redecorating my study, a leak was discovered along one wall. While I was out of the country, she not only hired someone to fix it, she laid down carpet squares herself, and arranged for the cabinet maker to install the built-ins and was present when the work was done! Imagine my surprise when I returned to a nearly finished study (the only work that remained was the installation of a resin desktop--also Kathy's idea)! Also, after searching around unsuccessfully for media cabinets I liked, she proposed using a metalworker she knew. He and his wife built a cabinet that was exactly to my specifications. I highly recommend Kmac Design! I have hired her for several projects.

Kathy's got such a great sense of colors and textures and can really visualize (and help clients visualize) what the finished project will look like. She can easily work with any style from traditional to ultra-modern and takes the time to find out what you want and then hunt down exactly that! You can count on Kathy to find unique fabrics and furniture that will fit your new space perfectly, and she does it all with a smile and brings lots of fun to the project, which she knows it should be.

Kathy McIntire's energy and enthusiasm is contagious and her design ideas are fun and exciting. I love the orange Crate and Barrel chairs she picked for our music room. Her idea for a chilewich shade from The Shade Store for our front window was so cool and perfect for the spot. Just the right balance of light and fun. I never would have known about that product without her expertise.
