Peter Cohan Architect
Peter Cohan Architect is an architecture design practice in Seattle, Washington that specializes in new residences, additions and renovations. I believe that it takes strong ideas to turn the often contradictory requirements of a design project into a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. These are the core principles of my practice: Architecture should reflect the lives of its users and be shaped by their emotional and intellectual needs - as well as their physical ones. Architecture is part of a larger physical and cultural context. and should respond to that context deliberately, using natural resources and materials responsibly. Architecture has a wholeness - every detail should relate to the whole in a way that tells a complete story. Architecture has the ability to transform the way we see the world - to clarify, surprise and delight.
