SKA has worked with the Macdougall team on a few different projects in cambridge and we have always found them to be responsive, professional and high quality. We had an emergency on one project in cambridge that we were working with a different plumbing company, and Macdougall was working around the corner, they came over, fixed the clogged drain so our client could cook a holiday dinner. it was a big save and they were great help there and on many other of our projects.

We've been using MacDougall Plumbing since we first moved into our home in Quincy back in 2012, and we would never think of hiring anyone else for our plumbing needs. Over the years they've done some pretty big projects and improvements to our home. They've installed a ductless mini split system, which has been one of the best decisions we've made for our house! Most recently our extremely old hot water tank needed to be replaced and with our furnace being almost 30 years old we decided to upgrade the entire system to the combi/hot water on demand. I had called them on a Friday and work began on a Monday and was fully completed with no issues in just a couple days. Thank you again Paul and his team at MacDougall for all your help and service over the years.

MacDougall P&M installed a high efficiency gas boiler to replace an oil heating system in our 90 year old home. Of five quotes, they were the only firm to fully implement “heat loss calculation” as the proper way to size a replacement boiler. In five heating seasons since installation we have had plenty of heat at all times and have saved over 50% on our heating costs, just as Paul Jr had predicted. MacDougal P&M was very professional in all aspects of the job. The installation was very high quality, priced competitively, and completed on-time and at-cost. The whole experience was very positive and I have brought them back 4-5 times since for other plumbing & mechanical needs. I strongly recommend MacDougal P&M.

Outfitting our historic home with central air conditioning was no easy task. Other contractors could only offer us halfway solutions & awkward appliances that would have intruded on our interior spaces. MacDougall was the only contractor with the creativity & technical expertise to accomplish what we wanted. We ended up having them install ac, and a new, high-efficiency gas heating system (from oil). Both were done with top-notch professionalism & attention to detail. We had them back to install new radiant heat during subsequent bathroom renovations, and are looking forward to having them return to help with a kitchen project.

We had to call on an emergency basis and under very difficult conditions. We had just brought my Dad home with hospice, and were coping with the reality that we were in the final days. With my Dad only feet away the downstairs toilet began spewing water into the kitchen - and it wouldn't stop. Mr. McDougal arrived quickly and handled the situation - inevitably discovering that the problem was a pipe a distance from the house - and arranging for additional professional support to solve the problem. It took hours, it was late and we were already overwhelmed. He managed a difficult situation and solved our plumbing problem under difficult conditions and circumstances. We were very grateful.
