Park Slope Design knows how to create visually interesting spaces that are both functional and comfortable for their clients. We particularly love the use of our Slimline heaters in their Southbay Transitional home, where their seamless integration enhances the contemporary feel of the space without compromising other traditional elements. Their understanding of the art of blending styles is what makes their designs truly noteworthy.

We had a chance to bring Joan and Park Slope Design into one of our large projects in Bel Air. Joan had great ideas and performed all her work in budget and on time. We feel very comfortable bringing Park Slope Design into any of our projects or recommending her to our clients.

On the basis of her portfolio, we interviewed Joan Grabel (Parkslope) regarding our landscape project that included the front, back and side yards and courtyard of our Spanish revival home in Los Feliz. We were interesting in planting a drought resistant garden with a variety of textures and colors. Joan was personable, highly professional and presented us with a detailed plan that included gardens, hardscape and architectural plants potted in large, contemporary containers. Although we have a relatively small backyard, she was able to include all the elements that make the space beautiful and functional--a pool, hardscaped lounging and dining areas and a built- in barbeque. She designed a layered slate water feature that adds ambience and serves to hide the pool equipment. We were delighted with the finished project and were asked by the Garden Conservancy to include our house on this year's Los Feliz garden tour. Joan was always responsive to our tastes and preferences, and working with her was a pleasure from early planning through installation. We couldn't recommend her more highly.

We had a great experience working with Joan. She took all of our requests into consideration with her design and we could not be happier. It has been close to 10 years and our landscaping is still the best on the street!

We hired Park Slope Design to landscape our front and side yard. We desired a low maintenance, drought tolerant and aesthetically pleasing garden, which was exactly what Park Slope Design delivered.
