It seems that everyone in Ottawa has renovation horror stories, so when we decided to upgrade our kitchen, finish our basement and replace the hardwood flooring in our 100+ year old house, we hoped for the best but proceeded with caution. It turns out that our concern was totally unnecessary, as the guys at Ottawa Finished Basements were an absolute pleasure to work with. Prices were fair, they stuck to the schedule, and the quality of the work is exceptional - it feels like we moved back into a brand new house. We are now proud to show it off whenever possible, and are constantly being asked who did the work when our friends see the total transformation that our house went through. The whole team was courteous, friendly and polite, and it was really easy to work with them. I could not recommend them enough, and I look forward to working with them again on our next renovation project.

We recently completed a basement renovation and could not be more pleased with the end results. We were very impressed with all the work that was done. They took the time to ensure that everything was done right. Communication was always easy and professional and the level of workmanship was to the highest standard. We decide to a add a full bathroom to our basement and Jay provide by far the best design in terms of functionality, look and budget. The work was started and completed on time and without any additional changes to the estimate provided. We found the workers extremley curteous and friendly and the craftsman ship was outstanding. This was by far the least stressful renovation we undertook so far and we love our new bathroom.

We hired Jay and his team to renovate our basement last spring. It was a fairly big job, gutting and rebuilding the entire basement (about 1500 sq.f.). Our experience with the company was great, from the planning stage to the execution everything went smoothly. Things started and ended on time and the project was on budget. We never had any problems getting in touch with them and the trades they subcontract with (e.g., electricity, spray insulation) are of the highest quality. Superb attention to details and just very good work ethics. We felt like they that had a real pride in doing good work and that is what they did. Would recommended them without hesitation.

The workers were polite, punctual and all displayed a good work ethic. The project was completed on time and within the estimated cost. Anything they deemed not necessary to do, in order to remain within the estimated cost, we were advised not to do. Anything that did need to be included was explained fully and costed prior to approval being given. We are very pleased with the end result. Everyone who sees the basement comments on the excellent workmanship. I would highly recommend the company to anyone.
