I have worked with John and Olivewood for over 15 years. As a structural engineer, I have a lot of confidence with their ability to get the job done right and on time. It is a pleasure working with a contractor that understands the structure of a building and the elements that we design for its stability. I can say without hesitation, that John Rodhouse was the best Project Manager that I have worked with. He is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and works hard for the best interests of the client. He has a great relationship with his subcontractors, and knows how to get the best out of them while still being fair. He has plenty of experience in multi-million dollar residential projects, and understands the intricacies of maintaining a schedule with the many moving parts and players involved. John Rodhouse was the Project Manager on our 10,700sf new construction project in Atherton for over two years. John did an exemplary job of managing the overall project timeline, cost containment and quality control. Most notably, he helped us achieve a high quality construction product with a high level of competence and great attitude. John's adroit sourcing of sub-contractors enabled us to save nearly six figures on construction work that we would have gone ahead and paid the original agreed upon amounts for. He identified alternate sub-contractors whose quality was comparable or better, while saving us significant dollars. The project went well due in large part to John's oversight and management of the various parties involved -- owner, owner's rep, site superintendent, architect, landscape architect, and most of all, the sub-contractors.
