Renovation 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom bungalow in a London conservation area. Once in a blue moon you come across a company that goes far beyond your expectations; such companies should be recognised for the service and their efforts that sets them apart from the others in the industry. Generally, most builders take your money and do what is convenient for them without really giving any credence to the client’s needs; Oakley Homes proved to be the opposite whilst being honest and trustworthy. It is not very often you would put ‘builders’ and ‘customer service’ in the same sentence, however Oakley Homes has taken this concept and ran with it successfully. The property has been in the family for over 40 years and held sentimental value following the recent passing of our mum. It however needed a complete overhaul to include replacement plumbing and electrics, damp proofing, kitchen installation, bathroom installation, flooring, external rendering etc. I was very careful in choosing which company to complete the project, due to its sensitivity and the extensive works required throughout. In addition, the property is located within a conservation area, so we had to ensure its overall finish was conducive to the surroundings. It was that first meeting with Redha and Hussain which made up my mind over and above the other 6 builders that bothered to turn up. Oakley Homes proved straight away that they were listening to everything I had to say (which was a lot), they asked questions and took time during the visit to establish exactly what I wanted from the project, as well as offered up advice on how they could enhance the vision I already had. During the project we ‘built’ up (pardon the pun) a fantastic rapport and worked extremely well as a team, using our WhatsApp group to generate ideas/improvements on the go. Communication throughout was excellent and I was always made to feel I had their undivided attention. Anything I did not understand in regards regulations, build and planning was explained and any issues that came up was conveyed immediately with a practical solution. I had no doubt they were working with me to get the best result in every aspect of my build. Workmen were always on site and the property was left tidy with tools and machinery packed away at the end of each day. The overall result is truly AMAZING, I am quite hard to please at the best of times, but I can honestly say this renovation has truly exceeded my vision. The workmanship and attention to detail in every nook and cranny is exceptional. Months on and I am still looking at parts of my home, smiling whilst feeling blessed that I found Oakley Homes Ltd. Oakley Homes will always be a part of this bungalow not only because I now considered them dear friends, but by the way in which they treated the property as their own whilst transforming it from a project to a home. I had a leak from the flat above and it completely wrecked my kitchen. The wooden floor started to come up and the loss adjusters took forever to come back with very unreasonable valuations. I called Oakley Homes to provide me with a quote and they were brilliant from the get go. I no longer had to deal with any of the stress and the experience they have with insurance companies was very impressive. Not only did they make sure I was getting a fair settlement, I had a letter sent to me from the company apologising for what they had put me through. My wife and I engaged Oakley Homes for a complete renovation of our house and had a fantastic experience. We had an initial conversation with Redha, who came over to our house to discuss the project. We immediately felt we had a safe pair of hands, Redha quickly got a sense of what we were like as people and what we wanted to achieve out of the project - and was immediately suggesting ideas and things we had not thought of. At the time. we spoke to 10+ companies and Oakley Homes was the most professional and easy to deal with. Both my wife and I have quite busy jobs, and so we needed someone who could manage the project given we would not be available at all times ourselves. and we felt Oakley but be best placed to do this. The builders themselves were very pleasant to deal with and the workmanship was really excellent. Oakley are very good at communicating - we set up a WhatsApp group with Redha and would use that to keep each other up-to-date. Redha would source items for us and, in particular, helped us a lot with brassware/general bathroom stuff which can be quite expensive - lots of pictures sent back and forth - and the whole project was managed well. Where we wanted to achieve a certain "look", Redha would work with us and suggest ways we could create the same style on a more cost effective basis, which was extremely helpful. As the project went on, there were (as there always are) unexpected costs and issues - in our case, lots of leaks caused by historical bad plumbing. Redha helped us resolve these problems and worked with us to find solutions which were cost efficient. We had a major leak on a Sunday evening (not caused by Oakley!!) and called Redha for help. He was on the phone immediately to guide us on what to do and would pop over if there way anything urgent. Engaging in a significant and expensive project, there will inevitably be the odd thing requiring resolution along the way. Whenever something like this cropped up, we would speak to Redha and he would provide a solution quickly and without hesitation. An example would be that scaffolding was erected, but we felt uncomfortable without an alarm - and so one was organised very quickly and there was no sense of it being an annoyance, etc. Oakley do not cut corners or suggest options which are easiest for them, rather than what you want - they are focused on delivering your vision. When you embark on a large construction project, you really need to find someone you can trust, who is straightforward and who ultimately delivers top quality work. Oakley provide a premium service and have ultimately helped us create a home we love, they come highly recommended.

Throughout the entire duration of the project, they dedicated themselves to actively listening, exercising patience, and maintaining unwavering honesty. As someone who is not easily impressed and has had previous experiences with similar work, I can confidently affirm that this particular experience was truly distinct.
