Design Comes Natural

We interviewed 4 interior designers before we decided on Nancy. We had never gone through the process of hiring a designer, and felt strongly she would guide us honestly. We entertain quite a bit and live in D.C. we own an older beautiful architecturally unique home and it desperately needed professional attention. We really did not have a budget in mind but knew we desperately needed and wanted a transformation now that our kids were older. Nancy is very knowledgeable, empathetic, thinks outside the box, genuinely cares about details today, tomorrow and in 10 years from today. She is about making wise investments for her clients. She also has a side to her that is very respectful and protective. A store owner was rude to my husband and myself while we were shopping with nancy. Nancy overheard and asked the owner to step into a private room. Minutes Later, the owner came out with beverages and cheese. My husband was very impressed and we later received an apology from the store owner before leaving. Although we probably spent more than we thought we would. Nancy did repurpose a few of our furniture pieces and offered ways in which we could sell those items we just didn’t want to use anymore. The drapery for the majority of our home was one of the most expensive items but well worth the impact! The upholstery nancy had custom made which cost a fraction of list at a store; the furnishings ; a mix of antiques and modern along with carpets were bought at a very fair and reasonable price below list and will be very smart investments. All in all, nancy did not rush us, she did not show us many items at once, which could be confusing, and always hit the bulls eye with her suggestions which both my husband and I liked very much. Her office person, Lindsey is an asset, and Nancy is a very pleasant, talented, honest person who is now, as my husband says, a part of our extended family. We will always ask for her guidance in the future. Her attention to detail is mind boggling and she truly gave us the sense that she really cares about us! She gets ***** from us!

Nancy Greene rose to the top of my list far outshining the other interior decorators I interviewed as I prepared to list my home for sale. It's obvious she knows her craft well and thinks through the job carefully. She developed a plan that included attention to details that were not only affordable but also eye-catching in design. She is very easy to work with and considers the home owner's ideas and needs in her plan. I'm looking forward to working with her on this project and recommend her highly. I plan to use her services in my new home as well!

Fantastic job! I was confidant with the exterior design and structure on this project, but not so much with the interior surfaces and furnishings. This is where Nancy's help was critical to my overall satisfaction with my project on our historical family farm. She was full of great ideas that flowed well with the unique character of my barn/loft. This was new construction, but using mostly old reclaimed materials and methods. I feel like we stayed on budget and spent it where it shows and has the most impact....Thank You Nancy!

Nancy's design sense and the staging she provided sold my house at a price I never could have come close to without her work. The excellent art she placed on the walls, the room decor and furniture, including plants and outdoor furniture, were all very impressive and created a very upscale ambiance. She was easy to work with and accommodated my needs. Her expertise and professionalism were admirable. I am grateful for her help!

Nancy is very professional, has excellent taste and is very easy to work with. Her team is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Nancy just completed my kitchen and it is absolutely gorgeous. Now she is working on my dining room. Nancy has many celebrities with whom she works, but you would never know this about her. She is very respectful and very dignified about her work and contacts. I was referred to her by a friend who's home she decorated. It turned out so tasteful and the mix of periods and colors came out simple but sophisticated and beautifully handsome.
