Nadine Engelbrecht completed her Master of Architecture degree at the University of Pretoria in 2008. Additional expertise in sustainable architecture was gained when she participated as a guest student in the Master degree, Climate Design, at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. During her 3 years working experience at Boogertman and Partners’ Architects, Nadine focused on residential, mixed use development, retail, offices and responsible design strategies. In 2012 Nadine started practicing independently and commenced various projects including local and international residential houses and multi-unit residential projects. Nadine is registered as a professional architect at the South African Council for the Architectural Profession and a Green Star SA Accredited Professional at the Green Building Council of South Africa.

Hired Nadine to design a house for us on a very difficult site with many indigenous trees and beautiful rocks. The brief was to design the house with as little disruption to the site, whilst integrating nature into the look and feel of the property. The plans which meets our high standard and requirements have been submitted to council for approval after which the construction will start. To date Nadine did a great job and her input, availability and the way she embraced the project really impressed.

Nadine is our architect for our new house in Lynnwood Ridge, Pretoria, South Africa. From the first meeting we had to discuss our client briefing, we were very much impressed with her knowledge, ideas and creativity. She took the ideas we presented and came up with a design that totally exceeded our expectations. All the requirements we had for our house were neatly and creatively incorporated into the design. She always goes the extra mile to ensure that everything is on time and perfect. Her inputs during the construction phase are very valuable for ensuring the project will be completed as planned. She does put in a lot of effort to ensure that her clients are satisfied. We can recommend her to anyone who is looking for a vibrant and energetic architect that will stop at nothing to make your dream house come true.

Nadine managed this house from concept to completion. Funky concepts such as concrete walls with wood grain inlays give a unique touch. Very glad for the “green” design as my water and electricity bills are a fraction of what they could have been. Well done Nadine!

Nadine Engelbrecht Architect designed my 621sqm house in the Eastern Region of Ghana. It was a very interesting process having a South African based architect design a home 3000 miles away and in the country-side. Nadine was enthusiastic and very much up to the challenge. She did all her research including visiting Ghana, understanding wind direction, climate, local materials, local technique etc. As a client, I was majorly impressed with her attention to detail, her tenacity for building "green", which aligns with my own, and just her general passion for architecture!
