At Minnesota Cabinets we are dedicated to quality and passionate about design. We create cabinetry that fits your needs, style and home perfectly. From the products that are hand selected, to our superior construction and carefully applied finishes, every aspect of our cabinetry and design are crafted to the highest degree of excellence. The original Minnesota Cabinets is located in Marshall, Minnesota, and first opened their doors in 1991. Mike Ponstein, the founder, focused on quality and fine craftsmanship, so, the shop and company were set up to support that focus. This commitment to the art paid off and business started to grow. Minnesota Cabinets increased the size of their Minnesota location and decided to expand with a new location in Des Moines, Iowa, opening their doors in Urbandale in 2005. The Des Moines location, locally owned and operated by Rick Ponstein (Mike's son) and business partner, Mark Main, has added to that commitment through growth and improvement with a state of the art & and open concept showroom. Minnesota Cabinets moved from their original Iowa location, opening the doors of the new Clive, Iowa Showroom in June 2015.

Keslie is a top notch designer. As an interior designer, it has been so good to work with her on my kitchen and bath projects. She is above all very creative in developing projects which incorporate the client's vision and go well above expectations. She is not only an excellent communicator but also a good listener. She fully embraces my business philosophy of excellent customer service and client centered design and I can't recommend her too highly.

With Keslie Muhlenbruch's direction, we have accomplished remodeling a kitchen, laundryroom, and two bathrooms. She has demonstrated every quality required for extensive projects: *Keslie is academically prepared for her position mathematically , aesthetically, and architecturally. Her state-of-the-art finished products exemplified her competence. *Keslie is an exceptionally good listener. When we explained our preferences, she remembered them. When we discussed design, color, and pattern, we did not need to be repetitive. *Keslie demonstrated time management skills, always meeting goals. *Keslie is accustomed to being held accountable for service delivery. She researched products and efficiently conferred with us. She instills confidence in her clients with warmth and sensitivity. We will always return to Keslie Muhlenbruch .

We worked with Keslie when we did an addition of a mudroom and a laundry room two years ago. She was very knowledgeable of the products, very professional and made the whole process pretty easy. Thank goodness!! In fact once that project was done we decided to update our kitchen with new cabinets, a new island, new countertops and new backsplash. Keslie and Rick were able to help us get what we needed and stay within our budget. We absolutely love our updated kitchen and get many compliments on it! Thank you!!!

Minnesota Cabinets offers high quality custom cabinets and delivers on time. They don't push their contractor on you so you can use your own contractor for the installation. I highly recommend both Kari and Minnesota Cabinets.

We worked with Kari at Minnesota Cabinets from the beginning to the end of our kitchen remodel. She listened to what we wanted to do with our kitchen and presented us with a design that did all of that and more. Non of the other bidders listened to what we wanted as well, and they all missed the mark. Kari provided us with a one stop shopping experience. After we picked out the cabinet design she had samples of counter top as well as tile for the back splash so we could match all finishes without running to a tile shop and counter top supplier. She even had the perfect hardware for our drawer door pulls. Kari helped coordinate the counter top installation and was able to help us follow up on the delivery of the back splash tile when it was delayed. We will recommend Kari and Minnesota Cabinets to anyone who wants to turn their old kitchen into the kitchen of their dreams.

Kari did a super job of making the kitchen design work with the house in the best layout, as well as the bar, bathrooms, and closet island! I felt very confident in her expertise. Dave worked with us to make our design match our budget, as well. I highly recommend them.
