Mike provided us with excellent site and landscape design services for our new residence in Midway. His site visits were very extremely helpful and beneficial.

we have 2 apartment buildings next door to each other and we wanted to bring a cohesive landscape vision across both properties. G Brown did an excellent job from start to finish. One of our interests was using native and water wise plants while also utilizing shade trees and other evergreen elements to provide privacy. G Brown was interested in our goals and targets for the property and met our needs exactly. Their team also provided a complete landscape design for a single family home, new construction, we plan to build that one this year and look forward to seeing the design after it's planted.. We will choose them again for future projects.

G. Brown (Mike Wonenburg) and the team did a wonderful job on our backyard renovation plans. We had a small area to repurpose while at the same time trying to resolve some fairly serious drainage and flooding problems. They were very innovative in their ideas and though we have yet to finish them all, they did a terrific job with the overall design. We got some great ideas from it and it was really worth the cost. We used their plan when talking to contractors and it was helpful to have such a thorough and complete design to show to potential contractors. I would recommend G. Brown for any residential work. They are terrific!

We worked with Mike from G Brown Design on a residential landscape master plan. They did a great job addressing all of our desires and went above and beyond drafting up the plans. Our master plan included waterwise plantings, an updated deck, entertainment areas, and the placement of an ADU. We were very happy with how all these desired features were added to the plan. We are currently using our master plan designed by G Brown and Mike to implement the changes to our yard incrementally. It is great to have the plans to reference whenever we are looking at major yard projects and we appreciate the level of detail included in the master plan. If others are looking for help on creating a vision for their outdoor space I would definitely recommend Mike and G Brown Design.

We purchased a 1 acre lot in Draper and didn't even know where to begin. Thank goodness we were referred to G. Brown Design. They took us from a blank canvass to a beautiful design that was so much more than we could have hoped for. We also worked with the best representative from the company as shown by her name :) Liz Best is our new favorite landscape designer and the only person we'll work with in the future. She was so creative, attentive to our needs and requests and couldn't have been better to work with. We couldn't be more pleased with the work of G Brown Design group. Upon visiting our new construction site, they went right to work and captured the beauty of our property. They know we have a deer problem and worked to find unique plants that - while not fool proof- have the best chance of maintaining themselves despite the deer. They have created spaces that enhance the structure of our home and also capture the views. Mike Wonenberg but together a masterful design that will enhance the beauty of our new home for years to come.

We used G Brown Design for a yard "remodel" project from design through construction management, working mostly with Andrew. They were very responsive to our ideas--including investigating products we had learned about from our own investigations--yet willing to alert us to possible problems and drawbacks. And they didn't seem to tire of our questions and adjustments to the great design they did for us. They handled the bidding for us, and we ended up with a good fit for our project at around the cost they estimated. We're very glad we kept them on to handle construction management for us, as they were indispensable in deciding how to adjust to the inevitable issues that arose during the project. They were willing to show up to the site on short notice to address problems and finalize placement, and worked both with the contractor and suppliers when necessary to ensure the project continued to move forward when it might have otherwise stalled. We highly recommend G Brown Design.

Besides their excellent design capabilities, they are professional, work within budgets and meet deadlines. My experience with Mike Wonnenberg began 2 years ago when we were introduced by our architect. We began our conversation about the property and what our goals were. I imagined a very contemporary design, very geometric in its relation to the house. We went on to discuss in detail plants, ie; trees, shrubs, etc. Mike listened and offered his thoughts. We soon were emailing and having phone conversations to discuss further details of the proposed plans.. I believe, that Mike connected with us because he listened and offered alternatives to every part of the process. He always was available to discuss situations that came up with the building process. We all worked together to create what we have imagined to be an amazing landscape plan for our property, We are aware it is a work in progress, that has just begun. he is available to run things by him as we institute 'the plan'.

I have been a residential real estate developer for 30 years and have acquired, entitled, and developed over 17,000 lots during my career. For my personal residence, I chose G. Brown Design as my landscape architect of choice. They worked with my wife and I to create a rear yard environment that was within the parameters we set in collaboration with G Brown. Our plans were detailed in every way and told the story in order for us to get our Master HOA approval with no comments. G. Brown Design plan details saved us money with the landscape contractor with chose to do the installation. We had G. Brown walk our landscaper during construction to insure the plans were being implemented as designed. My wife and I could not have been more satisfied with our experience with G. Brown Design. We highly recommend G. Brown Design to be your landscape architect.

Joseph walked through our yard with us and spent some time asking us questions to get to know us better and to understand what we wanted out of the yard. My husband and I have used Mike at G Brown for two different residential landscape designs. Each time he has delivered a beautiful and functional landscaping plan increased the curb appeal and property value of our homes. The plans were professional and detailed - we didn’t have to make any adjustment for city coding or the landscape contractors. Mike sat down with us both times to discuss what our goals were for the property, our personal style and preferences, and our budget. He has a broad knowledge of the work and products that can be used and he has great style. We would recommend Mike to anyone and will use him again in future projects.

Ask for Andrew! He was super awesome in getting us designs for our whole yard and was very accommodating to our wants and needs. It did take awhile to get designs, but regardless I feel like it was very much worth it. He always responded to us within a day if we had questions or concerns. It was also helpful to have him go through the whole design the process and finding a contractor that fit our budget. Highly recommend them for any landscaping projects, we've gotten so many compliments on yard from start to finish and we are happy wit the results!

GBD continues to earn top awards for their work and holds themselves to the highest standards of professionalism, creativity and customer service. Andrew was superior to work with! My husband and I had many requirements and concerns for our yard but needed the flexibility to implement the plan over time. He not only listened to our needs but had exciting ideas to incorporate as well. I worked with G Brown Design on a custom home near Park City, Utah. As an architect, I especially appreciated their ability to complement the aesthetics of the architecture with their design; their sensitivity to the beautiful natural landscape transitioned beautifully into the more "manicured" areas near the home. They incorporated natural play elements in the existing groves of trees and really brought the beauty of the existing site to life with their design. Highly recommended!

Mike Wonenberg at G. Brown Design designed the landscaping for our back yard in 2011. He worked with my wife and me to come up with a design that works beautifully on our property. Four years later, the plants are mature and it's a joy to look at and be in every day.

Top notch landscape design. They looked at our outdated yard the same way an artist sees a palatte. It was ultimately transformed into the best yard in our neighborhood. They considered everything from how it would fit in the neighborhood, to maintenance, to plants that would thrive in the climate and position around the house. What resulted is a simple, unique, but beautiful design. We've received many compliments. They are also friendly and easy to work with. Years later I still call them for advice.
