Horrible customer service...they do not honor their work...they don't return phone calls...once they do the work and get your money don't expect anything more

I have never written a negative review of any company that I've hired to work on our house before. In fact, Classic Metal Roofs started out by doing good work. But, finally, our problem--a dangerous problem--didn't have to do with the quality of materials or the workers. Both were great! The danger of the new roof was not immediately apparent. We had to wait for winter and heavy snow to learn that huge amounts of snow would fall from our third story house. We've owned the house for decades (since 2003 and the roof was installed in 2015) and never had issues with falling snow. But the snow turned out to be a threat in a large spot on our driveway where we parked and entered and exited our car and our house. In March 2017, a snowstorm dumped over a foot of snow, which fell from the roof onto the hood of our Subaru Forester--a big, sturdy vehicle. (See the below photo.) The windshield shattered and the hood and side fenders were dented so badly that they had to be replaced. The damage amounted to more than 4k. Our cost was a $500 deductible. While this incident was scary (the snow could have fallen on a person) and expensive, the utter lack of communication from Classic Metal Roofs that followed was maddening. And the company never did fix the problem! After talking to my insurance company, I emailed Bryan Rusch, the salesperson at Classic Metal Roofs. He responded right away, cc-ing a senior partner, Mike Gonet. I sent them photographs of the problem spot. But my main concern, as I said, was the danger presented to anyone walking or standing in this spot, which we used daily. What followed my email to Bryan and Mike Gonet was silence. I emailed again and again. When Bryan gave me Mike's cell, I called and left messages. But no one got back to me for months. It wasn't until March 2018, a year after the incident, that the company sent a truck and they put two additional rows of snow breaks where there were already two existing rows. The workers didn’t seem to know if this was a good solution and there was no manager present to direct them. But as we would find out that winter, they had not solved the problem. What was worse, a few days after the workers put the snow breaks up, we received a very prompt invoice via email (the company didn’t spare any time with the bill!) for $475. The following winter, we started to see that large amounts of snow continued to fall in this area. It was less but still dangerous and finally dented another car--a new Rav4 Hybrid! I sent more emails and went through the same experience a second time. I then hired another roofer who explained that the snow breaks that had been put up WOULD NOT fix the problem. He put a metal strip in front of the gutter, which I payed for. It's August now and I can't say whether this will work. But I can say that a person with expertise offered a solution. Classic Metal Roofs never put this kind of effort into solving a dangerous and potentially life-threatening issue.

We had another company do a metal roof install for us and it came out horrible. We were devastated, as this was the finishing touch on our brand new exterior remodel. After reading testimonials, and going to other local CMR sites to see their work in person, we decided to hire them do a complete strip and reinstall. The installers were professional and efficient. The best part of all— the finished product was absolutely beautiful! Exactly what we had hoped for! Don’t start elsewhere and go through the stress of correcting a bad job like we did. Hire CMR from the start. They truly know metal roofs!

Would not recommend this company! The sales pitch was great, the follow through awful!! They slapped the roof on and it looks like bad, won't come and even look to see where they twisted the metal!

CMR did a superb job installing a standing-seam metal roof on our new barn. The roof is the crowning glory. It looks beautiful and should last decades.

As with any large investment purchase, lots of research is necessary in order to make an informed decision. We spent weeks analyzing the pros and cons of all the different roofing materials currently available, manufacturers, and installers. The culmination of all our research indicated that an aluminum metal roof by Classic Metal Roofing Systems would meet our criteria. The distributor/installer for their product was Mike Gonet, of Classic Metal Roofs, LLC, Here are a few words that describe Mike: professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and dedicated to his business and each of his customers. Here are a few words that describe the four skilled craftsmen/installers: professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and dedicated to accomplishing the job and respecting the customer's property (no shrubs, plants or structures were harmed). Their work ethic was exemplary, starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending with the site cleaned thoroughly every day. As you can see, Mike and his employees have the same qualities. To us, this was even more important than the purchase. As with many large companies, the owner does not work on-site, and that means strangers will be at your home. Mike "introduced" his employees to us, via their pictures, during his presentation. This gave us a very comfortable feeling, because it indicated his trust and pride in them. We were not disappointed. Is purchasing an aluminum metal roof more expensive than asphalt? Yes The thought of not having to go through this every 25 years? PRICELESS Having Mike Gonet of Classic Metal Roofs, LLC install your roof? A NO BRAINER One thing I must warn you about: Your friends and neighbors will develop "Roof Envy." Be tolerant, they can't help it. These roofs get attention.

The initial consultation was no pressure, unlike some competitiors I had dealt with. Knowledgeable about his product with a price that fit right in the middle. Once the work got started the crew handling the job did good solid work and pointed out some things that needed attention. They could have said nothing and it would have wound up costing us a lot more in the long run. Honest guys. That's the highest recommendation I can give.

I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to Mike Gonet and his crew from Classic Metal Roofs, LLC. Mike was recommended to me by another CMR customer, who had really done her homework in researching a roofing company. I was so impressed with Mike and his crew, who rebuilt the roof of my 100+ year old house, and replaced the asphalt shingles with a beautiful slate-look metal roof. Mike was very thorough, careful and fair in his estimate and stayed on top of the job throughout. His crew's work was timely and professional and they even switched days off to finish the job before a predicted large rainfall. The yard looked better when they finished than it had before they started. Their work was top notch, and I am more than favorably impressed with the roof, especially in the times of large snowfalls and heavy rain... I would hire them again in a heartbeat! We have owned our home for 35 yrs and have hired many contractors over those yrs, which includes renovation and roofing contractors. Many of the projects that we hired out in the past were accompanied with so much frustration that we dreaded the prospect of having to hire a new contractor again for our roof replacement this fall. Truly, we cannot commend Mike and his crew from Classic Metal Roofs enough for the job that they did for us. Mike's knowledge of roof problems and solutions inspired our confidence in him as well as his and his crews experience and professional, courteous attitude. We cannot say the same for another leading metal roof competitor who we interviewed for the job. This experience was extremely valuable to us, as our roof is a challenging one. This was the most seamless, least frustrating project we've ever hired to be done. Above all, in a few words that say a lot, Mike and his crew are people of integrity, and who really care about the quality of their work and their relationship with their clients. We couldn't be happier with this job and look forward to having them back.
