Blackney Hayes Architects

We hired Blackney Hayes for a large scale renovation of our new house. We wanted a sophisticated, multi-disciplinary architectural firm that combined creativity with extensive technical knowledge. We worked closely with one of the principals, Jennifer Crawford, throughout the entire process. Jennifer met with us before we bought the house and confirmed that we would be able to achieve our vision for a Californian-style home with open spaces and abundant light. We were excited by Jennifer’s design suggestions and we’ve been delighted by the end result. Each room is a precious space, along with an integrated exterior pool and patio that mimic the architectural structure of the house. I have a beautiful painting studio and work space, and my husband’s home office features a multi-purpose built-in, designed by Blackney Hayes, that is both functional and striking. The walls throughout the house display my paintings, which are adjacent to tall windows that blend the art with the landscaping. Our master bedroom would be the envy of any spa patron, and our master bedroom and closets are exceptional. Every space works Somehow, Jennifer managed to design a home that is visually exciting yet completely comfortable. We are very grateful for her superb work.
