Meredith Ellis Design

We got to know Meredith recently through a project we're are teaming up on in Highland Hills (Residential, New Construction Addition) along with Derrington Building Studio (Architects), David Wilkes (Builder), and Hample Pools. It has been really fun getting to work with her. We've enjoyed collaborating on material choices, working together so that her interior vision is carried out to the landscape to create a cohesive design strategy for the project as a whole, inside and out. We love getting to see her presentations and the samples she brings to the meetings. She's so talented and her attention to detail is really impressive. She's been a pleasure to work with and we hope to get to team up on more projects in the future.

At the beginning of a complete remodel of our house, we searched Houzz to find a designer and were fortunate to come across Meredith’s page. We feel so lucky to have had her experience, help, and guidance as we completed our remodel. Meredith led us through the whole process from start to finish and handled everything from helping with the design of the architectural plans—she did much of the drawing herself—to guiding us through the selection of every detail during the renovation (e.g., helping us to pick tile, cabinetry, hardware, lighting, flooring, trim and millwork design, paint colors, etc.) to furnishing and decorating the house once the renovation was complete. Meredith was always patient with us as we hemmed and hawed over certain decisions, but once we were ready to go she was quick to lead and get things moving. In many ways, she acted as our project manager and kept in contact with all of the relevant parties working on the remodel. She is a great communicator and was always quick to respond to any questions we or our builder had for her. On top of it all, Meredith is a delight to work with—she’s fun and personable and has a great sense of humor. My husband and I regularly say to each other how we couldn’t have made it through the renovation without her. We love our new house and all of the details that make it so special, and we’re so grateful to Meredith for helping to make it all happen.

Meredith has an amazing ability to imagine space. We first worked with Meredith on the inspiration and design for a new home we were building. She was involved in every stage of the project: her creatve layouts for each room allowed us to modify the architectural plans so that we could plan in advance for things, ranging from the location of floor plugs to making sure the window sizes were no larger that the width of the shades she selected so there would be no glare on the TV screen! With Meredith, no detail is too small. This attention to detail, combined with her impeccable eye and professionalism, resulted in us getting the home of our dreams. So much so in fact that, when we later purchased a beach home, there was no doubt in our minds that Meredith would be the designer, even though she had just relocated to another state. The beach house was another huge success. We adore Meredith and are already looking for our next project together...
