Mark DeJong Builders

Mark DeJong was born in Minnesota, raised in South Africa, and grew up in a multi-generational construction family. Family and friends often called him his father’s shadow, as he tagged along on construction sites. Therefore, it became natural for him to begin building and remodeling projects at an early age. With youthful skill and determination, he started DeJong Home Improvement in North Carolina at the age of 18. Upon relocating to Southwest Florida in 1983, he pursued his State Certification, first as a Residential Contractor, and later as a General Contractor. Along the way, the company name evolved into Mark DeJong Builders Inc., and was incorporated in 1997. Mark and his wife have called Manatee County home for the past 35 years, raising their two daughters here and establishing strong relationships both in the local community and in the construction industry.
