Contracted him to build me a two story deck and he took my money and never finished the permitting. I had to do most of the paperwork for the permitting. He just abandoned the job. Save your time and go with a good contractor.

We can’t say enough about McNish Outdoor Living. The construction, materials, workmanship, and style for our deck and pergola were all excellent and were beyond our expectations. Their prices are very competitive beating out the other quotes we got. We are very happy we went with McNish Outdoor Living and planning on having them back when we get the funds to extend our deck.

Emiel McNish is an excellent craftsman. Removed old deck & assisted on designing new deck. Our deck is better & stronger then old deck. The attention to every detail is awesome. Absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had a previous deck on our Lake House. It lasted ~6 years. We decided to hire Emiel and his crew. I hired McNish Outdoor Living to complete an outdoor dock for my lake. He was very professional during the entire process. He handled everything with the city including obtaining permits, notice of commencement, etc. McNish Outdoor was also very competitive on pricing. I had an idea of what I wanted the design to be and he was able to execute on it perfectly. Once the work began, the dock was built within 10 days. I love the work that was done and it was a pleasure to work with McNish Outdoor Living!

Emiel built a huge backyard deck with Pergola for me...it came out fantastic! He worked with me on the design and my specific asks I wanted to be included (needed a roof on Pergola for example). He also made his own suggestions that enhanced the deck such as a step that wrapped around the entire deck. Also put a bar in and stain/sealed the entire deck. I get many great comments on the new deck. Emiel took care of all the permitting, etc to make the process much easier. He did a great job of communicating the entire time and working around my schedule. Would highly recommend, and already have had friends who stop by reach out to Emiel to build them a deck.
