At Lynda Slaney Architects Ltd. we look after your new home needs, whether it is be a clean slate on your new site, or alterations and additions to your current one. The aim is to provide you with a personal service, listen to your requirements and produce something that will add to your quality of life. The project must be affordable, enhancing the existing built and natural landscape it sits in. With 20 years' experience we aim to capture the best of your location, make spaces that really work, and that you really enjoy. Engaging with our environment is the kiwi mantra, so we always design to make the most of your location. Adding that extra separate garden studio or making an used garage into an airbnb can be creative ways of adding value to your existing home. The practice has worked extensively in West Auckland, but services Central, South Auckland as well as the Waikato. Exterior colour schemes, as well as joinery and kitchen design are also undertaken. Experienced with small commercial work including, school alterations, preschools, and medical centres.

We worked with Lynda on a small extension to our house - Lynda was very patient as we worked through many scenarios. In the end we were thrilled with the result and was able to get council consent quickly approved and into building. Lynda was wonderful to work with, listening and understanding our requirements on a tight budget. We are thrilled with the final result - we have managed to rework rooms to create more space and love our new home that's now perfect for entertaining. I would definitely recommend Lynda's services.

Lynda designed a studio/loft above our existing garage. Lynda was lovely to work with. We sat down and discussed our goals with Lynda and she brought innovative ideas to the project, helping us to make the most of the space. She designed a studio space/ living area, where our art student daughter can paint, a bathroom and walk in wardrobe, and an upstairs mezzanine bedroom. There are plenty of windows and a skylight to let the light in and trellises which look rustic and homely. Lynda was warm, friendly, a great listener, full of great ideas, practical and prompt. I would highly recommend Lynda Slaney Architects! Thank you Lynda for helping to make this dream a reality!

Lynda is our architect on the renovation and extension of our Auckland villa. She was recommended to us by our builder and, having worked with a number of architects in the past, has exceeded all of our expectations to date. She is extremely efficient, replying to every email and query in record time; takes all of our (many!) ideas on board, while also pushing back when necessary. Bringing her significant experience to the table she has produced a final design that beautifully tackles our challenging site, complements our existing house while also introducing a forward thinking modern new extension, and has done so within our budget.
