PJ and his workers were outstanding in all respects. This was an instance of high expectations actually being exceeded, despite a very challenging design and work site. They installed an extensive cable railing system in our yard, and did so within the specified time frame and exactly as needed. It was easy to schedule the work, and it was done on time. PJ is an honest, reliable, and dependable contractor, and we would hire him again in a second for any other related work.

No question that this is the number one premier deck builder on Long Island! PJ and his crew are fair, prompt, highly skilled, kind, and so easy to work with! We have done many construction projects, and the Deck Guy beats them all when it comes to making the project happen comfortably. There was no stress in the estimate phase and during construction, every crewmember was considerate and showed excellence in their trade. The deck came out perfect. There were clean edges and perfect miters, and you could not ask for more. This was the easiest construction project that we’ve ever done with no headaches and no problems. You can not go wrong with PJ The Deck Guy. From the first time I met him till the project was complete he was a pleasure to work with. What really impressed me ,beside my beautiful deck , was how hard he worked right along with his crew . I can not say enough. You will never regret hiring him. PJ was professional and courteous through out the project. I am planning to have him back to do my pool deck. I would never even consider using anyone else. I called to make an appointment for an estimate, and PJ advised me to simply email him my preliminary measurements, as well as photos of my existing 2 decks. 24 hours later, I received an email from PJ, with estimates for demolition, carting away of debris, and construction of 2 new decks - he gave me prices for wood, and 3 different grades of composite. When I confirmed that I wanted to proceed with the job, PJ came to my home to take his own measurements, show me samples of the different material choices, and firm up his price (which was exactly the same as the original estimate). PJ and his crew did a fantastic job - from demolition, to new construction, to cleanup. The teamwork of this crew was wonderful to watch - each man had his own task to complete, yet seemed to always know, simply by instinct, when another team member needed assistance for a task. Our new decks were built solid - PJ is a master craftsman, and a perfectionist - my wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the final results.

PJ ("The Deck Guy") was awesome to work with! We wish we could give more than 5 stars! He was extremely courteous throughout the entire process, and he even fit our project in ahead of schedule. The work was done quickly, and the finished deck looks amazing! The price was fair, and he didn't charge us extra even though demo of our existing patio was harder than expected. PJ and his crew were a pleasure to work with and we are extremely satisfied with our new deck. We highly recommend using PJ!

After going through a horrific experience where we were ripped off by a friend and left with a half built disaster deck, PJ and team stepped in to save the day. PJ was absolutely awesome, from the initial meeting all the way through, design and price conversation, setting us up with an excellent architect to draw up plans for a permit and variance, all phases of the demo/build, coordinating inspections for the permit, working around other companies we had on site, working with our mason on finishing the columns, matching the soffit another company was using on our house and addressing any issues we had after the project was finished. We have received so many compliments on the deck and have referred numerous people to PJ. We are so happy with the end result and the entire experience. PJ is truly one of the best people to work with and the quality of his work is phenomenal.

From my first contact with The Deck Guy this company screams professional and courteous. I called for an estimate, left a message was called back promptly, was given a time frame that was convenient. PJ showed up ON TIME! PJ offered us many options for materials and style of decking for our small pool deck to find the right one for us. He answered all of our questions and had photos so we could easily see what he was discussing with us. We have dogs who would be going up on the deck so certain products would show more scratches as opposed to others that would not. We had railing in our backyard and front of our home on stoops and a porch and he suggested we match that railing rather than just putting the typical option up. He even made sure to match the height of the posts from the top of the rail to the cap so everything would match. On day of install he came ON TIME again and worked from start to completion and my yard was cleaned up before they left. We love our "cute" deck and really enjoyed using it this pool season as did the pooches. You will not regret hiring this company and working with PJ. It was a pleasure from start to finish.
