Lynn provides her clients with a trained eye for color, design and space that can make the ordinary seem extraordinary. And she can do it in a myriad of ways. Rearranging your furniture and artwork. Putting a family heirloom in the spotlight. Making suggestions on flooring, cabinets and fabrics. Or even helping you choose the right accents to enliven your home at the holidays. With 25 years of experience in the arts, Lynn knows her stuff. In 1993, she moved from the San Francisco area to Pittsburgh, where she expanded her painting business to interior arrangement. And she remains au courant on design trends thanks to her passion for continuing education. Over the years, this artist has had her brushes with fame, as well. She’s been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Tribune Review and Pittsburgh Business Times, as well as on HGTV’s hit show, Decorating Cents; and on KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh. Lynn is a member of IRIS, Interior Redesign Industry Specialists and recently received the award for “Best Redesigned Living Room” at the National Conference; a prestigious award nominated by her peers. But her most coveted credential is her list of happy clients, including business, sports, entertainment and cultural figures from London, California and New York to Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

I called Interior Artistry initially in desperation because I was having difficulty choosing paint colors for the first floor of the house - dining room , living room plus kitchen after hanging new cabinets, installing granite countertops .Pleased with the results of the paint choices, we decided to totally remodel , update the dining room and living room . Our designer ,Lynn, shared knowledge, techniques and websites including Houzz (smile). She introduced me to many things that I didn’t know and gave ideas about things that I had considered but didn’t know how to execute and discussed problems that I identified but didn’t know how to solve. Our biggest challenge was that the house is small and we wanted open space. She provided direction and offered collaboration on our purchases: drapes, rugs, dining table , chairs, buffet, quality leather couch w/ chaise , living room chairs (that my 6ft tall husband can sit in) beautiful end tables, lamps , paintings and vases and trays . She took us out of our comfort zone but respected our opinions. She taught us both (husband and me) about style and proportion . She defined our style and kept our budget in mind. (We are not high end clients..) She even went shopping with me. We have a painting that she made unique for us . We are very grateful that we found her and that she made the process work so well for us . She changed the world in which we live -literally .

Lynn Smith of Interior Artistry is a mind reader. How else could she know what I was thinking even before I had a chance to articulate it? If Lynn had a super power, it would be her ability to get inside her client's head and listen. Within minutes of our initial consultation, Lynn understood my quirky style. She got me. I had a vision but no idea how to execute it. Lynn helped me understand what would enhance my look. She took the many treasures I've lovingly collected over the years and worked her magic. She rearranged, edited, threw in a splash of color and added a few new pieces only where necessary. Lynn Smith is a master gardener, planting decorating seeds wherever she goes. I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

We worked with Lynn on two projects so far. A child's bedroom redecorating and a kitchen upgrade. She is practical, mindful of our budget, encouraging to bring our own ideas and preferences rather than just her design ideas, but frank when she thinks we are making a mistake. Lynn is a true artist! She has a wonderful eye for color and spatial orientation. In my home, she painted a mural in my dining room. It's been a decade or more and newcomers to my home continue to fawn over the beautiful vineyard that she created. Lynn also transformed my powder room into a room with a chic, edgy cosmopolitan haven! Additionally, she painted an argyle pattern in my living room using flat and glossy finishes of the same color--stunning! Finally, her easy grace and infective smile make you want to hang out with her while she's working in your home!

Lynn is professional, reliable and excellent at helping to pick out the correct paint colors, re-arranging furniture or art work to make a new updated look, or re-designing space. Most recently she assisted me in updating my first floor and designing a new master bathroom. If you find the thousand of tile options overwhelming or selecting from 100 shades of white paint painful and want to zero in on a great look quickly, Lynn can do that for you. Her sense of color and design is fantastic. She listens to what you are looking for, can quickly show you options, and works within your budget. She has a number of vendors that she can refer you to if needed, all of them reliable, affordable, and excellent at their craft. I would highly recommend Lynn. I have used her services multiple times over the past 15 years.

I have worked with Lynn over the years; she is the 1st person I think of when I have a new decorating project. Her eye for color is unerring- she has helped me with 2 houses and an update on the 2nd house. She has an uncanny ability to view a space and know immediately what it needs to improve, redesign or just refresh. Lynn's is always up-to- date with current design trends but she also is one step ahead of things too so it is always exciting to collaborate with her. I've seen her work among her other clients and the only thing that is consistent is that each person's home is a reflection of them, not her or what is currently "in style". She is a true artist
