Lisa Quinlan Design

I’ve worked with contractors, project managers, design architects, engineers and interior decorators and Lisa QUINLAN has been the most talented workmate and visionary I’ve ever met. She just has this unique ability to craft spaces that are elegant but utterly livable and fun. My husband and I did a whole house gut and remodel and Lisa was the designer for the entire project. I don’t think I can truly do justice to her talent in a simple review, but I’ll try. In the work she did with me, she made me more courageous and confident with my own choices, empowering me to stretch a bit beyond my comfort zone. As a result, we ended up with a home that was truly breathtaking. When people walk in our front door they usually let out a little gasp and whisper something along the lines of “Wow….This is a gorgeous house.” And by the time they stroll into the kitchen, they’ll ask for Lisa’s number “just in case they need someone to help them with anything down the road.” From paint colors to entire fireplace walls, from lighting to flooring, from built-ins to our entire 24-foot kitchen, Lisa worked through every detail with our contractors, following up with them on each project, to insure that they would carry out her designs flawlessly. As a result, our home feels like something out of Architectural Digest — while at the same time feeling comfortable, cozy and chic (and extremely fun to live in). In addition to the work she did with us, I have seen several of her other projects and I’ve noticed that Lisa has the ability to work within whatever style her clients love…and elevate it — so that each of her projects feels timeless but never boring. She doesn’t design the house that she thinks her clients should have. She is always working with the “loves” and “likes” of her clients…and believe me, not every designer does that. There is absolutely nothing “cookie cutter” about her work. Each project is unique to the tastes of the client…she just elevates it to a place that we could never get to without her. Additionally, Lisa is FUN to work with. It’s like having a friend come over to play — every time she shows up to work. I simply can’t say enough about her. She is one in a million…truly.

Lisa helped my family make my family finally feel at home after a move to restart our lives after the passing of my wife. She understood the idea was to take a rental house and turn it into a place that felt like "home" without breaking the bank. She designed a great plan, helped pick the items that deserved to be really special, and found cost-effective alternatives for some of the accents. Highly recommended.

We were very happy with Lisa's customer service and design ideas. We had struggled for years to find the final finishing touches for our home. Lisa's ideas were instrumental in selecting a new bedroom set and tying in other finishing touches for other parts of our home. She did not try to sell us, but she just listened and presented to us some really good ideas that worked out nicely.

Lisa was excellent to work with. She listened to my ideas and vision for my living room and recommended items that were perfect! I had a budget and she worked within that. I never felt pressured to make a decision. Other contractors on my house project saw how Lisa worked and were also highly impressed with her and wanted her card to recommend her to their other clients. Lisa was thorough, creative and provided great customer service. Above all, Lisa listened and really heard what I wanted. I would recommend her highly and of course work with her again!

Lisa helped me with my furniture and fabric choices for my living room. I like a more modern look but my house is more bungalow so she was able to select fabrics and furniture that I liked and also fit the style of the house. She is fantastic! I will continue to work with her on my other rooms.

Lisa has an amazing eye fir design and has transformed several areas of my home into beautiful and functional areas. She also sat down with my daughter and created a unique and individualized space from paint color, to linens, to storage space. I would highly recommend working with Lisa... not only is she a talented designer she is so much fun!!

I have really enjoyed working with Lisa and look forward to working with her more in the future. She is very respectful of my opinions and ideas, not forcing her way. If you want someone to collaborate with or someone to take control of the entire process, she's your designer. Her sense of color, design, proportion are excellent. She probably is the first designer (and I've a known a few) that isn't as concerned with selling you a product as with making you happy with your choices and what you'll eventually be living with every day. She takes a lot of thought and pride in her work. Highly recommend her!

This is the third project Lisa has done for me, two personal and one for my professional space. This project she helped me decorate the common living space in my family's home. Lisa has a special talent for listening to what I like and what feeling I want to create with the space, and then being able to bring her eye for style to complete my picture. She is approachable and responsible when it comes to working through the project; a great combination that is enjoyable and rewarding to work with.

Lisa is exceptional in what she does. I have hired several interior designers over the years and they did an ok job but they did not create the living spaces that Lisa does. I actually like hanging out in all my living areas now. I could not more highly recommend her! I also hired her to help ready my rental homes and because of her suggestions those rentals turned around in record time!

Lisa Quinlan has helped me with the interior design for the last 3 homes we have moved into. She is fantastic at helping you pick paint colors (for the walls) and working with the furniture you currently have in order to make your home the coziest, most spacious etc., it can be. She has helped me with a condo, a very small home and now a larger home. In each situation she got rave reviews from all of my friends who came to visit etc. She is wonderful and I have recommended her to MANY over the years.
