I couldn't be happier with my new kitchen and family room, thanks to Collective Construction & Interiors. I finally have a house that looks like it should be on Houzz! That's not to say Lisa and I didn't butt heads along the way, but that was only because we both brought a lot of creative ideas to the party. Some inspired, some not-so-inspired. And, as a client, I'm often a noisy pain in the azz...which Lisa seemed to roll with very professionally, bless her heart. Lisa is unique in that she is a true interior designer with contractor chops. I'd say she is a more comfortable as a visualizer, color therapist and stager than she is an in-the-trenches bricks & mortar building contractor. But she gets the job done, thanks to a team of great subs. I would have given CC&I five stars, but like most projects like this (read: total kitchen remodel), I felt she took her eye off the budget and mis-managed one or two sub-contractors a few times. The whole thing ended up costing me more than it probably should have. But, I'll take some of the blame for that. If I wasn't such a pain in the azz as a client, we may have been more on target. So hey - if you're thinking about re-doing your kitchen, here are three tips to keep in mind. 1.) The project will likely take twice as long as estimated. If you're the type who gets impatient, go on a long cruise or spend a month in the Bahamas or something. Griping about it won't make anything get done faster. 2.) Expect to spend a small fortune if you expect extraordinary results. 3.) If you expect extraordinary results, call Collective Construction & Interiors

Lisa was great to work with. She had a clear vision and was able to communicate exactly what she wanted created for the space. I was so pleased with the results of the rail cart to coffee table project that was created for Elan Events Studio!

Lisa has a great eye fro creating interesting and unique interior spaces. She works with the bones of the architecture and emphasizes the natural strengths of the room, whatever that might be!
