Gerald Wheatley, of Ledelco LED Lighting Solutions, transformed our stone and stately, but dark and outdated, Nova Scotia house from a 1930s landmark into a bright and energy- efficient home, while still respecting its historic and architectural character. His vast LED experience in both residential and commercial design, coupled with an encyclopaedic understanding of houses in general, gave us full confidence to invest through him in this ever-evolving and energy-sustainable technology. He researched and adapted lighting options to our unique situation (2-foot thick stone walls, unforgiving ceilings) and explained every one of his recommendations for fixtures and design - both interior and exterior - in highly professional, but refreshingly understandable, terms. Our interiors have since come alive; and the LED-lit driveway, with its line of trees, is a show-stopper! His quotes and installation times were both accurate and competitive, and we thoroughly enjoyed his humour and patience throughout. We met Gerald the first time to consult on a renovation for our family room. With his help we came up with a lighting plan. Within two weeks he had the product we needed and installed it. We did a custom color changing bar, back lighting for our projector screen, ceiling pot lights, display case lighting and a custom edge lit stairway. He did an awesome job in every way. A few months later we had a problem with a power supply and he was in a few days later to replace it without any fuss. Since then we've renovated a few other rooms, plus some landscape lighting and Gerald has been involved with every one. Our library is to be our next project and he'll back back again for that this summer. He comes when he says he will, does great work, cleans up his mess and if anything goes wrong he'll fix it. What more could you want from a contractor? Hard to find these days. We'd recommend him for any lighting job. Can't say enough good things about this guy and his company.

The owner of Ledelco was a joy to work with. My kitchen was very dark and uninviting. I couldn't afford to completely remodel my kitchen so I focused on changing the lighting. Gerald presented me with an affordable option which included LED under cabinet lighting and a new ceiling fixture with LED lamps. Now my kitchen is bright and easy to work in. It made a huge difference and didn't cost nearly as much as I expected it would. It is amazing the difference lighting made.
