Founded by Lamia Maalouf; MI Design is an award winning, detail oriented, and professional design firm. Our mission is to provide personal attention while offering a high level of design that adheres to the client’s aesthetic and budgetary goals. We continuously deliver and maintain quality performance and innovative techniques in interior design and engineering of high-end residential and commercial projects. MI Design signature style stems from a European background and high level of education. Some of our awards winning projects were featured at the Salone Internationale del Mobile – Milan, Italy and at NeoCon West – Los Angeles, California.

Ms. Lamia Maalouf of MI Design was hired by EH National Bank for two separate projects in California. She designed and furnished the offices in Costa Mesa (2012) and the bank's Headquarter in Beverly Hills (2014). Ms. Maalouf headed the interior design & interior architecture in both projects. That includes the selection of material, finishes and the furniture. She created a complete concept that was consistent with the bank's image and took charge of the supervision of installation. She also kept things moving on schedule and made sure the furniture was delivered in a timely manner. Ms. Maalouf has a refined taste and pays great attention to details as well. She's creative, can visualize the end product and implements the design, each in its unique space. Most important she is willing to listen to the client needs and suggestions.

Lamia Maalouf worked several times as designer and project manager of residential remodels on my behalf. The first project was the most extensive. An old canyon mid-century was lovingly modernized and redecorated. As I was living and working abroad, her job was more delicate and harder, as she did not choose all the craftsmen involved. She managed them but consulted with me daily on all decisions through emails of text, photos and plans. I felt fully involved throughout. Lamia ensured the work delivered was excellent, on time and on budget. Her perfect sense of style and tone meant that, whilst bringing the house's kitchen, baths, natural lighting and floors up to date, its classic spirit was fully respected. She perfectly delivered my rather wordy and imprecise brief.
