We have worked with Kevin over the past few years on 3 different projects now and confidently would recommend him time and time again. With Kevin, you can expect an inspired design that is sure to turn heads while still incorporating practical livability. He understands and listens to the desires of his clients and we've seen first hand the work that he puts into designing each project. As a contractor, it is always evident to us that all aspects of the design have been considered before we even break ground. Through detailed 3d modelling and comprehensive drawings Kevin has worked out many of the construction kinks beforehand saving time and money allowing the construction process to be as efficient and enjoyable as possible for everyone involved.

Kevin designed our new home - The "Edge House". Right from our first meeting, we were amazed by Kevin's vision, architectural knowledge and attention to detail. We told him roughly what we were looking for, and he created a design and home that is so much more than we could have dreamed. Kevin is passionate and exceptionally skilled at everything he does, whether it is architecture or being named one of Canada's leading adventurers. The best thing about the way Kevin designed our home was the thought and work that went into his detailed plans and 3D models. He thought through everything up front, which saved significant time and money because we were not making changes once construction started. Kevin and our contractor also worked seamlessly together, and we can honestly say that building our new home was a pleasure. We highly recommend Kevin.

When planning a large reno on our mid-70's family home we were recommended to Kevin through friends in West Vancouver. This referral set the stage for what has become a more beautiful home than we ever could imagine owning. All thanks to Kevin's vision and incredible design sense. What amazed me was how efficiently and effectively Kevin nailed the design. He was completely responsive to our general design ideas and then added creativity which transformed the usability of the house. The design process was a complete treat as homeowners. In my subsequent role as general contractor I was at least as impressed. With the myriad of sub trades there were inevitable questions and alternate suggestions. Kevin was always responsive and able to answer questions in a timely and professional manner. Perhaps even more impressive was how absolutely correct and well thought out his plans were, in spite of the extent of the renovations. We hardly changed a thing. I can't say enough about how fortunate we feel every day we live in Kevin's creation. We've been back in the house for almost two years, yet it seems hardly a day goes by without compliments on the house, and/or cars slowing down while driving by. There are not words that can sufficiently recommend Kevin to anyone considering his services. He is truly amazing.

We had great pleasure to meet and work with Kevin during renovation of our house few years back. We found him a very talented architect, reliable and fun to work with. He is good listener and able to materialize clients wishes in life with goal to make your home great looking and very cozy to live in. He comes up with very interesting and last trends custom architectural designs and innovative materials with great professional attitude. We hired Kevin to do the design on a large renovation we were planning on our existing house. Kevin provided detailed plans and 3-D rendering that completely captured what we were trying to achieve. He saw how we lived with a young family and made numerous excellent suggestions along the way. He was there to guide us though the process, deal directly with the contractors and proof our bills. He was always available for consultation and dropped by the house regularly to see how things were going. The renovation ended up going over budget, but throughout the process, Kevin was providing options for us to save money. In the end, a large part of the budget over runs were due to us opting for upgrades that Kevin provided as an option. We would whole heartedly recommend using Kevin for any architectural project you are considering.

We came to Kevin with a house we had purchased hoping he could help us solve a few problems. The house was built in 1969 and while the post and beam bones were good, successive renos had destroyed much of its charm. We had hoped to solve only a few of the issues because we didn't think the others could be dealt with economically. Kevin gave us a plan that solved every problem with style and clarity. The finished product surpassed what we thought could be done with the house by leaps and bounds. Kevin was easy to work with and respectful of our time and budget. He was able to change things on the fly and find compromises that fit with his brilliant vision for our home. Something that set Kevin apart was his ability to find practical solutions that would work for our family. Despite being incredibly creative Kevin never let us down when it came to details. Our home is now modern but still warm. It is open but cozy. It's stylish and practical. I would recommend Kevin without hesitation.

Kevin Vallely is a gifted architect design-wise and the utmost professional in the real world. The project was a 4900 sq/ft West Coast Contemporary home located on the North Shore mountains of Vancouver, Canada. Elements of design included structural steel columns and beams, glass curtain walls, Douglas Fir beams, and large overhangs. Kevin's award-winning portfolio and credentials were easily shown in his ability to make immediate and appropriate design changes. His ability to coordinate with the structural engineer and general contractor was invaluable. Kevin maintained a strong commitment to the client while giving vital direction to the project's success.

We are delighted to write a review for Kevin. We hired him to build us a contemporary home on particularly challenging lot (waterfront but only 8 metres wide, 32 metres long and with an elevation change of over 20 metres ). We wanted a home that was low maintenance, could accommodate getting older, fit into the neighbourhood, and that without costing stratospheric prices was nevertheless spectacular and took full advantage of the views. We wanted someone who could create a vision but was not so driven by that vision that it could not accommodate our views and thoughts and that would allow him to lead the process but not dictate our choices. The new house is next door to our current house, which is more than twice the size of the new house, and so we were able to follow the building and consultation process quite closely. Here's what we found: 1. Kevin was great to work with, listened to us, and in the end created a fantastic home for us. 2. He took all the challenges in stride and worked hard with District officials to get us the best possible outcome given the particularities of the lot. We had to go before Council for variance and due to his wonderful design and collaborative working style, had the support of staff and we sailed through the process. 3. He was very flexible and worked hard to ensure that the home was the least obstructive to neighbours as possible. 4. Kevin was very responsive, answering emails, calls, etc. 5. He stayed with the project during the building phase, working with our contractor to make sure the process stayed true to the design and was there to answer the multitude of questions ranging from the colour of the paint to the placing of tiles around the fireplace. 6. He worked well with the contractor and supported us in the process of hiring the contractor to start with (which was a critical decision). We were surprised at just how many things needed to be consulted about. He certified all the invoices from the contractor and visited the site regularly to make all was processed as smoothly as possible. In the end, we will be moving shortly (end of 2013) into a fabulous house and couldn't be more pleased with the design and with Kevin - thanks Kevin! Kevin designed two Contemporary single family residences for me with an eye towards the working at home professional. Beautiful design and open concept with the option of a nanny/ income suite and seperate entrance to my home office. Unfortunately we moved before we could complete the project. I hope the new property owners continue with his design , it would be a great addition to the North Shore .
