We used Kevin and his Kru for our smart house automation and we couldn’t have been in better hands. During the design process, he listened to our needs and created a system that worked for us. Throughout the install, I really liked that I never heard about “problems” only solutions. He came in on budget and on time and was truly a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him.

This review will be an understatement of how much we loved working with Kevin and how pleased we are with his results. Kevin is THE most detail-oriented, patient, thorough and prompt professional we’ve had the pleasure to work with on our Control4 projects. He disabused us of the notion that it takes forever to get service on Control4, worked with us on our budget and alternative equipments as needed, and didn’t care that our project started out relatively small. He still went full-on and gave us the attention and prompt responses - I mean, line-by-line questions, did thorough tests and organized everything, AND answers emails into the evening! Seriously, where do you get that in this industry nowadays? I would recommend him to anyone needing AV projects done and any work requiring home automation!

We interviewed and received quotes from several home automation specialists. We wanted complete home automation including integration of lighting control, security & surveillance, leak sensor, gate access, home theatre, music and television throughout house, pool & spa control, WiFi, and one motorized shade. We chose Kevin from KRU Smart Homes Automation because he is passionate about his work and he was not looking for an ongoing annual service contract. Instead, he is in the business of creating a system that works and is customizable and expandable if the customer desires changes in the future. Kevin is extremely organized. All of the work was done within the budget that he quoted. Of all of the subtrades that were involved in the construction of our new family home, Kevin was the best. He even gave input and guided other subtrades in ways that improved the overall look and function of our new home. Kevin really listened to us and designed the installation around what would work best for our family. Finally, the added touches were a pleasant surprise (eg. letting my kids choose the keypad backlighting colours for the light control keypads in their bedrooms).
