I've worked with Kevin Ruedisueli on three major residential projects. Four, if you count the stunning stone manor house I purchased that, as it turned out, had been designed by him as well.
Kevin has all three attributes I consider essential in an architect: (1) An intelligent, friendly, down to earth, thoughtful, approachable demeanor, (2) an excellent sense of light, space, proportion, and the appropriate use of architectural elements, and (3) meticulous attention to detail when it comes to the resulting drawings. The end results are timelessly elegant structures that are both beautiful and livable and which are built to withstand the the tests of time both in terms of changing tastes and in terms of durability against the elements.
In my experience many architects have one, or sometimes two, of these attributes. It's rare to find one, like Kevin, that has all three. I can't imagine not retaining him again when the next project comes up.
