I have worked with Matthew Kent for several years and found him to be creative, adaptable and very professional. As a "partner" in the triangle of Owner, Architect, Builder, I found him to be a great asset to the construction process. With clarity in direction and a deep vision of what he wants, I'd recommend him to anyone in a hot minute for their project. We recently worked again with him on a major downtown penthouse renovation and once again found the partnership to be great.

We had the distinct pleasure of working with Krannitz Kent Architects on a challenging remodel. Bryan Krannitz was able to see and create a vision that we didn’t think was possible. We could not be more pleased with the final result. Bryan presented us with various schematic options that complimented our space and fit our lifestyle. Bryan was able to create a modern environment with an inviting warmth to it. The use of steel and stone was more than we could have hoped for! Bryan provided construction drawings for our builder and was able to discuss the details with him as needed. He was very accessible and assisted the builder in understanding our vision. We will definitely work with Krannitz Kent Architects on any future builds/remodels

We worked successfully with KKA on a large and complex residential project. Bryan and Michael were exceptionally collaborative and we worked well as a team to deliver on expectations. They were supportive and provided us with timely deliverables and the right amount of details to build from. The drawings were well thought out and relevant. Unfortunately this is becoming a lost art!

We have worked with the principals of Krannitz Kent on several projects, starting with designing a ski lodge which was the first home we ever built over 12 years ago and concluding with construction of our new primary residence this last year. These are featured on their websites and the results speak for themselves. We entertain and host guests quite a bit and the places are both both beautiful and very functional. We selected KKA based on the collaborative nature of their principals, whereby they fully realized our detailed list of objectives and design looks in well thought through plans and thoughtful additions consistent with our themes, , while adding a bunch of small touches we were have never thought of and really appreciate was we have enjoyed the homes year after year with family and friends. I am often sitting somewhere and notice something and have to call former partner Barry, Brian or Matt and express my wonder that I get to enjoy such a place and whatever detail I am noticing or appreciating at the moment. I should also mention their ability to play well with the rest of the design team including interiors, landscape architects, lighting design and structural engineers, as the cross functional collaboration from an early stage that KKA led is what made these places really special for us and our guests. Due to the demands of my job, we also used KKA for builder oversight and project management including managing the budget and buyout process with the primary contractor. While no projects of this scale are without issues and even some failings by subs, we found KKA to be a constructive and upbeat problem solver who helped find solutions and kept everyone on a positive track. the final item I would note is that we enjoyed the process with them, particularly the creative design phase where thru the use of tools like Sketchup, even in its infancy, we played an active role in design decisions of all types. in sum, we are happy with the homes and have referred many friends who are also happy with their homes too. on our first home they taught us the value of a deep and thoughtful design process, and through several projects the value of great working relationships among the entire team while being very transparent with the owners. While different locales required different builders, KKA was a constant for all our projects along with our friend and very talented interior designer.

Bryan designed our new home in Bellevue, which we moved into in Spring 2018. We had varied and demanding requirements. The house needed to incorporate functional spaces for entertaining, hosting guests, and several hobbies. We wanted natural light and plenty of privacy. We wanted aging-in-place accessibility. It had to be Net Zero with excellent comfort and air quality. And we wanted beautiful aesthetics that took advantage of the lot and views, while being complimentary to the existing neighborhood houses. Bryan and his team (thanks, Michael!) absolutely nailed it on every criteria. The house is stunning to look at and even better to live in. Everything flows and fits our lifestyle perfectly. He helped us find an excellent builder and continued to advise and assist through to the end of the project. We couldn’t be happier with Krannitz Kent architects and are already planning our next project with them.

Our experience with Krannitz Gehl Architects was wonderful throughout our project. Bryan listened to our needs, challenged us in all the right ways and impressed us with creativity and innovation. We selected Krannitz Gehl to build our vacation home in Big Sky, Montana after seeing another home in the area that they had designed. The home is in a mountainous area on a slope with lots of view potential, which was quite important to us. Barry did a wonderful job of siting and basic design to maximize the views, create good driveway access, and take full advantage of the ski-in/ski-out potential. And Bryan did a fantastic job to detail out the interior and exterior to create a stunning home. Barry and Bryan followed our program well so we got everything we wanted designed into the house in a floor plan that flows very well and is logical. And they did it on a very tight time schedule as well so it could be started before winter set in. I would highly recommend Krannitz Gehl, and would certainly hire them again if we were to ever build another home.
