Kari Skoog Design

Kari is the most versatile, talented designer I have ever worked with. She understands budget and time constraints, is flexible, and it would be hard to find a lovelier person. We met through a house build project. Now I consider her much more than a consultant. She is a wonderful friend!

Kari is very intuitive and wonderful at what she does. We didn’t really know what we were looking for until she showed us some of her ideas and they were all fantastic ideas for our downstairs living space. We were in the middle of a large remodel and Kari was literally a life saver when stepped in helped in so many ways. Within the first 15 minutes of meeting with me and observing what I had picked out for our Colonial Revival remodel, she could recommend things that would go with my style. From kitchen cabinet knobs, lighting fixtures, interior and exterior paint colors, kitchen flooring and even interior and exterior trim decisions, Kari's advice was invaluable. Kari is also very experienced in knowing quality companies to hire. We used her recommendations for the following: tile, flooring and carpet install, exterior siding and trim work, and interior and exterior painting. Now Kari is helping me pick out window coverings, placement of pictures, and all of the soft touches that go into making a house a home.

In my professional business, I've used Kari for staging my listings, my clients homes, and my own home for personal updates. She always seems to surpass my expectations. Building a home is a very stressful and time consuming event but can be a very fun, happy and rewarding one as well. I personally am not a decisive or creative person so I decided that I needed help. Kari's vision allows her to take the old, tired pieces of furniture and family treasures and create exciting new pieces that fit the new home. We spent endless hours together and have become very good friends. She is patient, thoughtful, kind, considerate, and always looking out for your best interests. I consider her a very talented designer with wonderful vision. Our home is personalized and warm. We are grateful we had Kari on our team.

Kari helped me from the beginning to the end. I'm not sure I would have made it w/out her. It wasn't just her knowledge and help in choosing just the right products, appliances, flooring, lighting, furniture, paints and colors but it was holding my hand during the days that there were glitches. There are always glitches in a remodel. It just comes with the territory. Kari makes those glitches so much easier to endure. She takes those hits. She's there to make the deadlines.
