We worked with the JWA team to design our dream home, guest house, and commercial-grade music recording studio on a 5-acre plot in Seabeck, WA. We wanted a design that blended in well with nature in terms of color and style, maximized the view of the Olympic Mountain range, and allowed for the most amount of natural light during the dark Pacific NW months. The team listened to our specific asks, made several site visits, provided valuable input on lighting and design, and ultimately crafted three NW Modern style structures that are simple and modern, encapsulating an eclectic blend of wood, stone, metal, and glass.
For the music recording studio, the JWA team tapped into the expertise of local sound consultants and recording professionals. Various consultations resulted in a design expertly drafted using precise angles, engineering, and materials to construct a studio capable of recording the highest quality sound, while also maintaining the peacefulness in the surrounding neighborhood.
The team worked with our builder all throughout construction, and provided valuable input that not only saved us thousands of dollars but helped keep the house and studio true to their original designs. We thoroughly enjoyed working with JWA and appreciated their input, thoughtfulness, and professionalism on our project.
