Hello John, With life moving along at a rapid pace, I forgot to let you know that Dori and I are both extremely happy with all of the work you and the crew did for us. When we were mulling over the plans and working through the initial stages of the addition, the biggest area of concern for us was who we were going to hire to GC the work. We met quite a few characters who, for the most part, did not really provide the level of competency and (especially) trust that we were looking for, until you came along. You delivered a really beautiful product in-scope and within budget and, on top of all of this, the crew (Dennis/Andy/Jerry) were the most professional, genuinely “good” group of guys we could have wanted working in our home. We also appreciate your willingness to share your subs with us (all of whom were also amazing to work with and did a high quality job – especially Gary Spotts!). Dori and I regularly sing your praises to everyone who asks! I know that if we need anything done in the future, you will be the first person we contact. Thanks again and good luck, Joe

We worked with John for a little over a year on a large remodel and couldn’t be more pleased. He and his team are professional, conscientious, punctual, and consistently left the jobsite neat and tidy at the end of the day. John Van Dame did an excellent job for us in replacing our large cedar decks, bench and staircase in our backyard with a man made product that doesn't have to be treated and and isn't affected by insects and rodents. He also replaced our three garage doors. His work was excellent, on time, at a fair price and he was in constant communication with us throughout the projects. We couldn't ask for a better contractor and will certainly be calling on him again.

Highly recommend VanDame Custom Builders. Their service, personality and technical capabilities rank them very high. Nothing is too much trouble. The can do approach is so refreshing and the final product is outstanding. No job is too big or too small. Give them a call.

Van Dame Custom Builders was referred to me by my parents, who had a custom media center built-in and huge custom kitchen remodel (among many other projects) handled by John Van Dame. Van Dame has completed several renovations for me and his work always surpassed my expectations. Most recently, Van Dame built me a custom wall built-in which included cabinetry and a changing table for my daughters nursery. It has now become the focal point of the entire room. Aside from always being pleased with his work, John is always a pleasure to work with. He stands by his work and is extremely customer oriented. He always responds immediately to questions or concerns. I plan on putting on a home addition in the next year, and I am only considering Van Dame Custom Builders for the job!

We performed some major renovations on our house in 2013 - added an additional bedroom and master bathroom overhaul. Van Dame Custom Builders did an excellent job and were indeed experts as their craftsmanship showed. All of the folks we dealt with were professional and very respectful of how the work needed to get done and when as we did a lot of the work at the start of the year in the dead of winter. We couldn't be more pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

Van Dame Custom Builders gave us a new kitchen this summer (2013). We met with six different contractors before meeting with Van Dame. When we met John Van Dame for the first time, we knew right away we would use his company. He was honest, forthcoming, and kept all of our needs in mind. They were also affordable and kept our budget a priority. In dealing with John with the planning, design, etc, he was always professional, timely, never pushy. He allowed me to take my time with decisions and never made me feel bad when I changed my mind 10,000 x's. We felt comfortable with him at every step of the process. When it came time for the actual construction, Jason was brought into the mix. Jason is a detail expert! His work is flawless. He always was reliable and positive, even when working with other contractors not associated with him. He was great to have in the house and we trusted him implicitly. When the project was complete, we were really sad to see Jason go. When I spoke to John, I asked, 'Is this it? We won't see you guys again?" His response was to the effect that his company was basically married to us~connected for life. We have found this statement to be true, as we have had an issue with a vent fan (different company), and John has worked to rectify this situation. I would hire Van Dame again and again, and would 100% recommend anyone to hire them for their project. You will not be sorry! (p.s. Pics shown w\o back splash...still haven't made a decision on that! Lol)

Van Dame Custom Builders recently completed a deck renovation with a new decking product called Zuri. The product was completed in their usual fashion, with meticulous care and attention to detail. We have had many projects large and small completed by Van Dame Custom Builders and are happy with all of them, from a basement remodel, to a master bath, to work in kitchen and other rooms. Their craftsmen are expert, careful, friendly and polite. The builder is very responsive to homeowner suggestions, requests etc. They are extremely trustworthy. As can happen with any job, if something doesn't work or breaks (even months/years later) they come back and fix it in a timely manner and without complaint.
