A modest mid century ranch sat uncared for for years on Spring Run Creek in Altoona, PA. I reached out to Judy Coutts, architect, to help me breathe new life into the property. I had a vision for the house and she refined the ideas into a house filled with new light, open spaces, beautiful proportions and a harmonious flow. The project was an extensive redo inside and out. She responded to my concerns and questions in a timely manner through emails, phone calls and meetings. She gave wonderful attention to details which was key to this project. She showed a genuine concern for the integrity of the building and its relationship to the environment. My husband and I just recently met with Judy and I am happy to say that we were very satisfied with the service she provided for us. Judy worked with us to completely remodel our basic ranch home into the home of our dreams to fit exactly our familie's needs. She helped us add a child's bedroom, remodel our entire main living space, add a functional entryway, better connect our main living space to our finished basement as well as update the entire exterior of our home. Judy Coutts came highly recommended to us. Our project, an addition of a playroom for our boys, master suite, laundry room re-location and a complete kitchen remodel required a lot of thought and attention to detail. We are tearing down walls and putting up walls so we needed help in putting our plans on paper. I needed help visioning the final project. Judy made a potentially overwhelming process easy and fun. Judy guided me every step of the way. We tackled the project one phase at a time. Judy established timelines for tackling each phase which helped keep all of the decisions we had to make less stressful.
